How the top lane is playing these days

[/quote] It's not, His kit is a counter to auto attacky melee's, but Akali is a hybrid between a spellcaster and an auto attacker. Akali can pretty much throw out free harass balls which will either force Lee to push the wave, or max W first in order to combat Akali's Q. If Lee catches akali, it wouldn't be clear who would win the 1v1 battle unless akali just let lee sit on her and make maximum use of passive weaving for attack speed. It would depend on runes i feel. I run 2 armor 7 ad reds, armor seals, mr/lvl glyphs, and AP quints as Akali against Lee.[/quote]

[/quote] Why? 4 from Tier 1 offense, 1 per level at the bottom of the tree. You get passive @ level 1 with 21/9/0 masteries and 15 ap from runes.[/quote]
