I know a little what you mean. Fun fact is that my friends start playing LOL one after another, so once I managed to get one of them to the "30" then it's strange matches with the next friend lvl 1 again. So at least it is same/same and different/different at the same time.
Good luck in finding friendly players at your server, at EUW it is not hard to find them ( usually I block friend requests as I am no friendly person ;)
