That was an awesome game.
For some reason, I couldn't completely dominate Irelia on the lane, but I outfarmed her by about 100 cs at 24 mins. The game was played very agressive, kills everywhere and their Ryze dominated the midgame. In teamfights, we would always barely lose because our Graves focused their Ashe instead of Ryze who was raping our Graves and Lee. I always initiated the teamfights, first on Ashe, later on Ryze who got instantly burst down by out team. At that point (~35 minutes) we slowly began to win and the teamfights were always really close with only one or two players surviving. We eventually won because of great intiates and good focus on their carries. :-3
Finally pushing in elo, always had prolems passing the 1650 elo border.

i would definately have gone for a AS irelia in front of an AD irelia in that game... enemies waaay too tanky to kill with burst.

If u go for wriggles, most of the time you want a phage right after(most often leading in to a tri-force) still experimenting with the other defences.
But support items(shurelyas, aegis, randuins) are very underrated on her for defence.

There is no "new standard" some people are now fanboying over Wits End Irelia best irelia hurr durr and mean Trinity Irelia is "dead" and "********", both of them are different and both work good&situional, you dont get, for example, Hextech Revolver on Ahri if you lane against LeBlanc, but it's still a good item on her because one skills is True dmg and 2 other is a AoE/hits 3 targets but counts as single target.
