I don't get why noone mentioned irelia.. She has EVERYTHING to counter a wukong?
#1 Can out-sustain him
#2 When he runs away, slow/stun him and turn on "w" trade won!
#3 After lvl 5 u should be able to 1v1 him(with armour seals and quints.)

Only problem is that pre-4'ish u're capable of being zoned due to wukongs dash and early game dominance... Not that bad though.. Boots+3 health pots, run away and afk farm till 4-5, then boom jump his ***, kill him!

Want to know the reason I created this thread?
Because I've played against Wukong twice as Irelia and been completely and utterly decimated.
Irelia will lose to Wukong almost indefinetely.
You need armour runes, quints and a Wriggles Lantern to prevent being pushed out of the lane.

So Irelia is NOT a counter to Wukong. I've maxed both her E and W against Wukong and if he kills you once you lose the lane.
His burst is stronger than your E
And both Wukongs Ive seen have gone double Dorans Blade and more AD to make them hard to burst with decent lifesteal and to increase their burst.

Also once Wukong passes level 6 he simply takes Irelia down to 800 or so HP then uses his ultimate and ignite. If he gets a Double Doran, Phage or Brutaliser he can do about 1k damage with a double combo, ultimate and ignite.

Irelia gets Boned by Wukong.

This thread has been helpful however, I reckon I should make another one on hard tops to win.

Oh and Duff how does your lanelaf do versus lanewick? :P

when im vs wukong i pick rumble and max shield asap for laning phase (to counter his combo). Both your flamethrower and your missiles are not target spells so you can still hit him if he uses decoy.I start with dorans shield. Also i build Revolver early so i can stay at my lane for longs period of time, farm and win the lane.

I think boots + 3 pots or cloth armor +5 potions will do against him (cloth armor start has been nerfed since the potion nerf.)
Please +rep me if im helpful :)

Irelia and Rumble are the best counters for him(tbh I stumbled upon this thread while searching how to counter irelia with Wu -_-)
Irelia - you can't outdamage her till lvl 6 burst lacks it power until brutaliser or sheen
if you attack she stuns you if you run - slow
usualy I simply hope that jungler would appear and give me the edge against her

Rumble - flamethrower.

renekton is the biggest counter to wukong. choose him or sit passively until he makes a mistake. if you're a ranged champ and he manages to get his 3 hit combo on you harass him until his cds are back.. if you're melee build an early chain vest.

Anyone that has a decent AoE able to hit wukong in his stealth is a good counter to wukong. He relies on his Q,E,W to be able to push his opponent out of lane or kill him. Karthus is a good counter because when wukong jumps to him he can just enable his AoE and spam Q. As wukong has a lack of sustain it renders his harrass completely useless as Karthus deals more dmg. Karthus can then just poke him down eventually with his Q and because wukong is squishy and item dependant, he will not be able to contend.

I think Lee is pretty much the best counter to Wukong. His W wrecks his damage, out sustains, etc, and when he tries to decoy, E reveals and slows. Pretty much dunks the entire kit.

The problem with that is, I do that same thing with Maokai vs Karth. I win those trades. Karth is also far, far squishier than Wu is and has less Armor than Wu has MR.

Also, Dat necro.

Lanewick and Lanlaf are actually pretty even, comes down to the players and if the jungles can get good pressure on the lane.
