Carlsberg launched the "Probably the best beer in the world" campaign into china, they spend millions and yet more millions to get to this new market where there weren't any real prefferences yet really. Turns out, due to language barrier the slogan "Probably the best beer in the world" sounded like "our beer is not the best" to chineese people, they didn't understand the slogan at all.
