First off, congratz for gold!!! Also, you have a good point about the dead stats; I didn't really think that through and I just realized that the way I normally build her comes out to about 20% above the CDR cap :P. I think from now on it's zeke's for me. You're right, rushing trin would be a bit silly, (unless of course you're trolling) but I find that I can do decent damage 1v1 all throughout the game. Not great, or good, but decent. To the entire team, that is a different story; if I get my w, r, and q off (e does literally no damage :P) I can do quite a nice amount to their carry or offtank (assuming of course that no-one is hyper-fed) and draw at least a few peoples' focus. I also find myself rarely (if ever) getting Aegis, but hey, it's situational, as Leona is not an aura support.

Well, I appreciate the compliment. However, the way I build her leaves no room for Frozen Heart(all dead stats for her, CDR is already maxed, doesn't need the armor, doesn't need the mana, 20% aoe debuff would be nice, but not worth the item in general unless 3 out of their 5 team are all about attack speed, but then your bruiser should be able to grab this anyway; plus getting Zeke's means you give your team 20% passive attack speed and 12% life steal-- meaning you counter the enemy frozen heart.. and STILL give life steal.)-- Aegis is a potential mid/late game item that can round everything out; but I hardly find the need/time to get it. What you seem to be making is a Trinity Tank version of Leona, but I honestly find that type less effective in the game as a whole, as that item is extremely expensive for very little reward on Leona whom is extremely weak at doing anything by herself, unless it's early game; and you're obviously not rushing a Trinity on her because that would be silly.

Hey, absolutely LOVE the guide portion of this. It is amazingly composed and well worded, especially lane comps for bot lane. C'est parfait. However, I don't personally agree with what you said about needing to appear weak. Leona makes people focus her with her sheer peeling power and stun-ification. I build (and by no means is this a fantastic build but it works) shurelya's, merc treds, solari, aegis, frozen heart, then I work on a trin force because i get bored... (also, that's in no particular order...) By the end, I basically can't be killed except by a fed ap carry, and even then, I can just stun and run. But to the point, I can just e-w-q and R if I need to and they kinda need to focus me. Not that there's anything wrong with your guide, I just had a problem with that piece of it. Also, heed the words of monsieur Invader Boots above me.

Like the guide. I've had a lot of trouble with her in Dom, though. If you could do a Dom Leona guide (I know she's not a high tier Dom champ) that'd be sweet. Also you should change it to "the STUN will come out tomorrow," people will love it for the name.

I bought Leona not too long ago so hopefully this will help me.

One suggestion is the highlight important keywords to make some of your sections look less like a wall of text. Other than that, it's nicely done!

I've been playing Leona since she came out, always enjoyed her. Stopped playing her for a while to play some of my other support chars, came back and wanted to play a little different than I used to play, found this guide and wow! I've been a beast in early game and late game. My last game we played, I was super aggressive against a Yi and Miss Fortune and it was ridiculous. I've played about 5 games with this build as its basis, and in the late game, it's great setting up team fights. Sure, my K/D is awful, but that's a good thing. I'm being targetted. I was like 1/8/23 the last game I played. I'll take that if I win.

Great guide, and Nice work. I generally like what your saying and the masteries are refreshing to see free 10% CDR on a spell dependent champ is a MUST. Mobafire needs a real Leona guide imo for how she fits into the game. I'd like to maybe offer some of my own feedback to you. A great item to also have is Frozen Heart because it does all that you need plus builds out of a great cheap item in Glacial Shroud. It has 20 CDR so we only need 10 more (allowing you to maybe get Mercury's Treads/ Ninja Tabi) and I understand why you like CDR boots as you shouldn't be eating any cc but that bit of MR is also rather nice. Frozen Heart is also support-esque as it lowers the teams attack speed, great for ad or on hit teams. I would also like to say that if your not getting Frozen Heart than get CDR boots hands down. I'd also like you to consider making aegis of legion core as its just fantastic on any support and Leona is no exception.

Another thing I'd like to say is Exhaust is not as bad as you perceive. Its potential to give us MOAR CC is just god like and it also give us a chance to completely disarm an enemy in a late game team fight.

Oh and as a support never have all your items slots filled. I understand that you want to be able to tank late game but our job is also to support and that means put some wards up.

Note: maybe a warding section could be added to your guide to help new players/supports... Just a thought.
