Obviously, I'm very new to this game.
Very different to dota. and also the forums; this site is sooo far from Playdota.

on topic, i started a couple of games against a solo mid le blanc.
[yes, i always go to mid. i love using ap heroes though im still not that outstanding]
and on those couples of incidents, I fed.

yes. fed realtime. i was like 0-5 including firstblood. then we surrendered on the 20th min mark.

since i always use ap heroes like karthus, veigar, malzahar etc., i tried meki pendant and couple of potions, but still. Le Blancs damage output is so burst.

any tips?

You need to pick something that can push the lane very quickly without dying. Leblanc's only real weakness in lane is the absolute inability to farm. It's virtually impossible for her to get last hits at her tower.

Sion is the best counterpick to Leblanc. He kills entire minion waves with a single skill, has enough defence not to get bursted down and his side lane ganks are at least as strong as hers are. Galio is good too and Morgana can be hard for her.

If you don't have a pick that can push the lane you're kinda screwed, your best bet is just to play defensively and hope you don't die too much.

^^ yeah pretty much.Great Leblanc < Great morg, but Great leblanc > Good Morg. if you are a good Brand you can trade burst with her, but her flash forward makes it hard to land his AOE. The key to countering most AP mid is to play aganst/as them. ALOT. Eventually you will figure out their patterns, habits, and ranges, and be able to predict their moves and respond accordingly that crucial 1/2 second before they actually take action. Mids like Ziggs, Veigar, and Swain are pretty predictable (ziggs will attempt to skillshot you down to 3/4 health then flash in, toss slowbomb, explosive charge, autoattack with his explosive passive, then bouncing bomb you to nuke the rest of your life away; Veigar will ignore you so he can farm his Q and when u get ballsy enough to get anywhere near him he will stun you then faceroll on the keyboard and nuke your ***; and all Swain wants to do is stun you then have his Bird scream at you untill you are dead). Anyway my point is that Leblanc isn't nearly as predictable, and even if you CAN predict it the range between her flash forward and burst damage is so massive that she tends to shut down the lane, and you can't even really react to her flash forward to trade nuke cause she flashes right back out of your range as soon as she hits you. The best strategy to facing a Leblanc is to out farm her so you dominate her late game and get real chummy with your jungler.

Yea, AP Sion is fine mid. He has a strong early game and he can burst for most of someone's health. Most people play him by nuking all the minions and then running to other lanes to gank while it's pushed.

That strategy works very well against Leblanc because she is horrible at last hitting and she can't waveclear for **** either. As long as you don't die to her she ends up way behind.

AP Sion or Mordekaiser would be best picks, imo. Maybe Kassadin?

And yes AP sion is a great counter-mid mid. Mord, maybe not so much, maybe yes, his shield makes him un-pokable, you would have to spam the hell out of Siphon just to survive, and Kass would work if you're GOOD with him, after level 6 when his teleport could keep him in range of her even as she is flashing, and the super-long silence is a beast.

I'm not sure about Leblanc vs Kass. I think a good Leblanc would very easily be able to zone him pre-6 and possibly kill him at level 4-6. He'd have to take burst in order to farm and Kass can't really trade with Leblanc that early.

Yeah early game Kass vs Leblanc, leblanc wins hands down. But past 6 its a toss up. Good kass players could pull it off, but i wouldnt try it untill you become uuber OP with kass.
