Thanks for the excellent in depth( of which I am grateful for-) guide for how to play and build Anivia. Even though I do suck at playing with the mighty bird right I do want to see how one could jungle with Anivia if there is or isn't a jungler within the allied team. Thank you very much ^_^

Have you considered adding a Guardian Angel to your Luxury Items list? I know Anivia's passive already technically already revives her, however she has -40 armor and magic resist when in egg form. Late game, that can be easily killed. Guardian Angel's passive is a more reliable way to revive. It never hurts to have three lives(Four if a Zilean ults you, and five if a Yorick ults you along with Zilean).In addition, the 68 armor and 38 magic resist is always helpful.

I mainly reupdated this guide because technically as we know it, Taneren is dead. Though access to his account is still prominent, I just decided to reupload this great guide. I found a relatively better build that works on her, and I'll hopefully be updating it shortly. Unfortunately, I am very busy this month and most likely next month, so patience will be needed :) here's my in-short:

I personally don't like the rod of ages though. Never have. I sub it for Arch angels because of done right, you can get 140 AP from it (45 base and 3% of your max mana). I also build a lich bane on her for the movement speed and extra AP/mana subbing it with the WotA. THen, call me crazy, I don't build a Void Staff, I get Athene's Unholy Grail. I usually end up with around 800 AP by the time I finish my build.
I also figured out that With Athene's and a blue buff, you could potentially have your ult on indefinitely at one point in the game.
Great guide though, the game play part will definitely help out.

Horridly outdated build. Athene's Unholy Grail is definitely a core item, and WOTA should NOT be core. Anivia deals AOE damage, which only receives 33% healing.

Oh I just love the Rosario + Vampire reference :] Mizore was my favorite :3

Very detailed, still one of the best Guides I've ever read.

Suggestion to add to the Unholy Grail:
Buildt from Chalice of Harmony wich gives a nice MR early game and a help to keep up the mana especially for never players even if left at this stage up to one of the last items for upgrading.

Suggestion to explain why/why not:
Lich Bane: As an AP carry you deal tons of damage with your skills during a short time until you come to a short downtime. Also your E (dealing 100%AP damage + a bit standard) has short range, but your AA range is awesome. If someone tries to run away: Autohit after using spells with Lich Bane actually does 500 damage. Nice Burst addition or stopping power.
Also the MR can give a little bit of sustain (even if it is little, but combined with a grail you come up to 100!) and the movementspeed may save your life, because normally anivia is really really slow.

Great build was a good reference for my win streak!
