1.ArP doesn't work like that. ArP is more effective the LESS armor an enemy has(assuming that his armor is greater than your ArP).
2.Riven needs the AD for her shield and earlygame.

I tried to explain that in another thread but nobody seems to understand it.
Armour counters flat ArP, not the other way around.

Simple answer is, you don't beat a Poppy with full armor runes as Riven.
Riven has no tool to beat something like that. ALL of her damage is physical, and I've ALWAYS said the simple sure fire way to beat riven is full armor page / cloth five pots.
In fact, you're just lucky she wasn't using HP regen quints and full armor everything else. THAT would have been ****ed.
When playing Riven vrs full armor poppy who probably rushes sheen / FH, build 3 doran's blades and rush a Last Whisper.
It's the sleeper OP lane response to the meta of solo top armor stacking. ^_^
DON'T knock it till you try it, if your lane opponent builds around 150 armor, LW his arse. Unless your lane phase is just about to end and you don't care about his items anymore and want to make an impact on the early teamfights or something.

Try out my Riven's Build maybe you could have beaten Poppy with it :D
