A great deal of players have been switching to lifesteal quints for early jungle sustain. Any opinions on the idea? I know many Twitch jungles require them and start with Doran's Blade. I was thinking the same for Leesin, maybe Sion.

I use them when I jungle Wukong, the sustain helps him live through the jungle route.

i think they're better in the jungle than in lane. starting Doran's Blade is risky in lane, even if you are running lifesteal quints

It's not bad or anything, but it's probably not the best quints for most situations.

^ Right. They are optional, but not the best. Better in jungle than in lane. If you are jungling and starting with Vampiric Scepter, you are getting 22% life steal. That is a decent amount to keep you in jungle for a decent amount of time.

If you start life steal quints, you're sure as hell not going to be buying a vamp scepter.

The thing that TheOddone stated was that if you run f.e. AD Quints, you clear faster therefore you recieve less damage. This fact proves that LS quints aren't that good because they prolong your clear by like 3-4 seconds and saves you maybe 20 hp which you wouldn't lost if you have clearen faster. Just sayin'.

Wow thread revival ftw.

I've switched back to flat AD now in lane, but I still say they are viable. Particularly in certain situations.

And as far as the jungle idea goes, they are actually pretty awesome. I used to start Doran blade with lee sin, and as long as I didn't get below 15% hp on my first blood gank I could stay in jungle and get back to full hp (after hitting 3 and getting shield). Idk if they are the best for lee sin(flat ad q 2 strong), but maybe on a jungle who has problems with keeping a healthy hp pool while clearing.
