I For sure am !
AT least the opening ceremony, which is a
must for any olympics game. I want to see
if they can beat China's opening ceremony,
by any stretch of the imagination!

I would certainly be doing so. I'm particularly glad China is dominating since it's my homeland, but we'll see what happens next...

The Galapago's Islanders are going to win all the gold medals.

Cool.
Ha, I didn't know that Phil.
I'm also rooting for China haha.

If any of you saw the opening... The queen
she wasn't smiling at all, I hate her for that.

You try smiling when you have to sit next to Prince Philip for several hours, watching people walk past who don't give a rat's *** who you are or why you're important.

So far all I've been watching is the fencing, in which everyone has been getting p0wned by the italians. Things might change in the Mens weapons though; I haven't watched the Men's Sabre yet and the Chinese fencer for that is pretty damn good.

And let's not talk about the brit fencers. The shame...

How is everyone watching them? It's all live on BBC iPlayer, but I don't know how accessing that from abroad works :/

Why would royalty be important? Lol. It's all a load of ******** if you ask me.

It IS, Buckingham Palace still hasn't realized it's the 21th century yet.

Can't agree more. I don't like royalty either.
I think they're only really good for tradition,
ceremony and PR. But above that... Not really.
They just soak up a lot of money.

Anyhow... I haven't seen the fencing. But sadly I
can easily imagine the British falling behind on this
one. I only watched the sailing, where two British women
made history.

She's only really important for filling a few constitutional technicalities that I'm amazed we haven't updated yet.
Oh, and she brings in a large amount of national revenue with tourism and such.
But that's about it. But for some reason the British have a weird sentimentality for royalty and their parasitic ways.

And yeah, the only things that GB seems to be good at sports-wise are sailing and cycling. Fencing wise, South Korea/Italy/China/Hungary too stronk.
