How the *beep* do you counter Katarina Q_Q ?

My previous match with Katarina, instant gg mid lane. Reason being I was too stubborn to get a [[Negatron Cloak]] and rushed [[Rylai's Crystal Scepter]], ended up feeding 1/10 or 11. I heard that when facing Katarina, you really don't have a choice but to farm seriously hard and go gank other lanes. I notice myself doing better against Katarina during clashes there's someone else taking the hits from [[Death Lotus]]. But on a 1v1 situation, the [[Shunpo]] just makes gauging ridiculously hard. Even if you don't gauge, she'll burst you down before anything else, which is kinda scary :s. Advice anyone ?[/quote]

If it's on cooldown, use your Q to harass her when she last hits. Stay away from the wave so you aren't hit by BB, and try to harass her to about 50% before 6. [/quote] (huehue) anyway on topic, you need something with hard CC to stop her ultimate basically. Her early game is pretty weak so getting a champion that takes advantage of that works really well. The biggest lane counters I can think of are [[leblanc]], [[sion]] and [[kassadin]].[/quote]

With Ahri you pretty much just farm, pay attention to Q harass, and if she uses Shunpo use dem reflexes to W, E and Q, then move away. Only real downside is that she'll be motivated towards ganking other lanes. Diana can also do Katarina well if you're both around the same skill level. [[Fizz]], [[Katarina]] and to a certain extent [[Kassadin]]. I prefer dealing with positioning champions because it's something I'm much better at. I used [[Zyra]] by the way, recently taken a liking to her. @WOMBO You're right, stubbornness was one of the answers. I got overly confident of the fact that Zyra outzone her with her long range. @FalseoGod I'm pretty sure patience is key when playing against Katarina. My fear of being patient with Katarina is the fact that if she decides to jump on me and I cc her, most of the time, I end up dying first. Even if I blow my entire combo away, it usually isn't good enough to bring her hp down to 0. Which is why I get so fired up on landing my cc first.[/quote]

And honestly the best way to beat a kat is to just be a better player. If you outplay her there is almost nothing she can do. I don't know what champs counter her other than the ones already listed cuz I am always the one playing her but I can tell you that if a kat is skilled enough she can win most match ups. On Zyra you can go all in after the cc is down. On Ahri you won't get the kill unless you know her ultimate and kiss is down. Against her as kata you farm, warn other lanes when she disappears and gank the other lane. But yes a good kata can beat both. Ahri's harder.[/quote]
