I suggest not getting Summoner's Wrath and Insight or the Brute Force for last hitting. Definitely not worth it. Runic affinity is ok. Start with malefic visions and level it up quickly for good harass and farming.

Yeah someone who agrees with me about this :D

I am very sceptical considering AA on Malzahar, but everyone has their preferred playstyles.
However, i believe it is 100% absolutely essential to start with boots 3 pots. It is incredibly useful to avoid harass, an you shouldn't really spam a lot of spells in the beginning, plus, you know, Malefic Visions.
I also suggest you start with Call of the Void, as it is a lot more useful in case a lvl 1 teamfight erups (invade/gank/et cetera)
You are taking Flash+ Ignite, so points in Summoner's Wrath and Summoner's Insight are a very good investment.
I also suggest you put 3 points in Brute Force , for easier lasthitting, better autoattack harass, and stronger voidlings.
As far as i know, Runic Affinity works with Nashor too.
For seals, consider something else, as AP yellows are pretty suboptimal. How about mana regen, or, since you go for tear, HP/lvl?
Call of the Void is now 1 projectile, not 2, so you can only get hit once.
Overall, it would be nice to add more details about everything.

NOTE: Wrote this early morning, so please take most statements with a "In My Opinion" in front of it!

Just to give you a few thoughts: I get writing a guide to your playstyle, but if your playstyle is "Never solo queue" then your guide is going to be missing crucial elements for the champion. A very specific guide will almost ALWAYS get downvoted hard unless you have some serious backup to your claims. In this case, the claims you make are more specific and not as specific as to say "yes, this does actually work together".

I guess, you talk about having a high AP build on Malzahar, yet you use something that doesn't get all the AP until late game; then you talk about spamming skills so you always have mana, etc.

I seriously would recommend running your build in Solo Queue sometime and see how it stacks up; it may give you some outside perspective to it.

BTW: My reason for being so specific on Malzahar, he's one of my main mids when I do play Solo Queue. I honestly have yet to have a "negative" scoring game with him in my last 30 some plays with him, so I do know how to roll him and he's an excellent champion. I agree with a lot of your claims in the farming category and whatnot, I just think your champion isn't going to have the sustain necessary to make this guide supremely viable. Again, the lack of experience playing him in solo queue may be part of that.

Really bro xD I don't want to insult or something like that but giving me such an unqualified comment is just fail. And I'm the living proof that Malzahar with Tear of the Goddess won't fail always. Really nest time think about what you write and give me a reason why it will fail "always"

No thanks to this post...

@ManOnFire I see I have to concretize my guide. I just get the Archangel's Staff for the AP cause its gives you a bigger AP advantage then Rod of Ages.

Quoted:
The main output of Malzahar is the combination of Null Zone and Nether Grasp, you are going to want to max out your Null Zone before Call of the Void. While I realize the silence is nice, it isn't that easy to hit and isn't as crucial in a quick fight situation.

In the 1st point you are right. Maybe I made the guide way to much depending of my own playstyle (but I thought a guide should represent the autors playstyle but nvm^^). I skill Malefic Visions and Call of the Void first because i want to farm minions and I don't do solo q what means my mate goes always jungle when I pick malzahar for mid. So there is much slow from the jungler and I have muuuuuuuuuuuch time to aim my Call of the Void. In teamfights I'm normally high level because of the Awareness mastery, so I have a skilled my Null Zone minimal 3 Times.

Quoted:
In general, a Void Staff is a better compliment to the build you have so far since you get the AP boost and the massive amount of magic penetration, which will outweigh the bonus you get from Archangel's Staff.

I will add an situational item section soon. If you have much AP you don't need a Void Staff except the enemy is stacking MR like hell^^and with this guide u will have more AP then a " Rod of Ages" guide.

As I said in my guide I go straight for max AP but if there is an LeBlanc or an Kassadin I go 4 items like Rod of Ages and/or Banshee's Veil. The main reason I don't pick the Rod of Ages is I've seen so much Malzahars playing with it and the most weren't that successful like me with my guide.

Thank you 4 your tips and the positive feedback.

@implicent

Well as I said above I go 4 AP with the Archangel's Stuff not for the manaregen. I mean I have 1 item with manaregen and this isn't really much.^^

Personally I use armor yellows(sometimes HP), because I find both AP and mana regen underwhelming on Malzahar. To prevent him from running out of mana(I mean outside lane, in lane malefic is usually enaugh) I buy catalyst or chalice if I really need to spam and/or enemy is annoying assasin like leblanc or kassadin.
