Why would they drop the best player on their team? Hotshot is the one who should have stepped down, but since he owns the team he never will. It's a shame really.

maybe the best all-around player on the team, but he certainly wasn't the best support. In fact I thought he was pretty subpar to pretty much every other pro support. So I suppose you might be correct. You're also correct that hotshot is holding the team back.

in all honesty ive thought voyboy has been holding clg back. he was a DOMINANT top laner when he was on RS/dig but he loses lane almost every game nowadays. probably a combination of him unable to adapt as a player and team chemistry.

He said publicly on stream like a couple days after the S2 championships lost that he disagreed with his team on champion selection. You may be right that he is unable to adapt, but he was basically playing champions he didn't think would allow him or the team to succeed, or at least that's my interpretation of it. I think one of the reasons he was so successful for Dignitas was because he was basically able to feel out his picks but stay within the lines of the team needs. Dignitas gave him more freedom but CLG tried to dictate what he played and I think that's why he wasn't able to succeed.

none the less CLG has always had a problem meshing together, it starts with their ego's so I don't think this is a easily solvable issue

Hotshot himself said that he would step down as a team member and act as manager if his team and he thinks that he cannot keep playing.

He even dropped the CEO-Place of CLGaming.net to work more with his team. And I also think that Voyboy was a pretty weak Toplaner (in synergy with CLG).

That Chauster is going Jungle may be good, I did not know who called the playes after SV left, but Chauster definitely can do it very well.

As Mooninites said, on of the main issues is / was their ego's, but I recently read some posts on reddit etc., saying that everyone on the team learned to communicated way better now (especially Hsgg and Liftlift), but that was in context of gf's and their influence of the pro's play.

I think it is an awesome change of players, Hotshot (still my fav. player) can finally play his top again (regardless of his competive picks, yet). Chauster, the guy who is probably the best LoL-Player living will pull of a decent jungle (honestly, I always wondered why Chauster was Support lol).

Furthermore, I can remember that Liftlift and Loco got real good friends, both are AD Carrys, so maybe that can help them getting synergy on bottom lane. Loco will definitely bring some Korean mentality to the team, making them a better team over all.
I quote HotshotGG: ''If Doublelift would have a korean mentality, I could just feed every game and say ''No problem, Doublelift, bro, will carry me''.''

I just hope locodoco can refrain from jerking off during matches.

Also, HSGG is going to get trounced toplane. You'll see.

I dunno if it's just nerves but when i watch voyboy play in tournaments he always derps up or does stupid stuff.

I mean, I'm worse then him but I can still analyze the game at a high elo, as can everyone who plays league, and you can always tell when someone makes a dum decision.
yolo, teemo to strong in low elo

Voyboy didn't fit CLGs playstyle and constantly underperformed when he was on CLG, as opposed to his days on Rock Solid/Dig.

Hotshot will be fine top, as long as he listens to Chauster's calls he should be ok. Chauster is an incredibly intelligent player, he won't have trouble adapting to jungle.

As for locolift bot lane, they are both good friends and generally players who played AD know what they like from a support so they usually play it pretty well themselves.

dat saintvicious quote is hilarious and dead-on

Quoted:

Saintvicious: this seems familiar Hotshot sucking top decides to try support benches elementz.... realizes he sucks at it then goes back to top. Hotshot sucks at top benches me from jungle to try it out.... realizes he sucks at jungle goes back to top and benches Voyboy. I wonder where the problem is.
