So from what I can see then, it gets worse as you go up.
Screw logic?
Depends on many things, but I've seen loads of people go stuff like "lol shut up scrub, I carried myself to silver elo and I know

IT EXISTS! elohell.net

No one else can see, the preservation of a martyr in me.

If you're lucky, you will get people that are competent, then you can escape it once you're around 1600+. By that point people are definitely capable.
tbh 1600-1750 was the worst **** ever - last season at least.
I had hardcore rage people/leaver/afker almost every game.
This season I just duo'd got up to 1750-1800 quite fast and I must say I didn't meet too many flamer's and no afk's yet, I just hope it'll stay like this - makes the game way more enjoyable

"Elo Hell" or what you could describe as such is when you not go 5-men premade.
Never play SoloQ without doing Duo.
It's just that Riot, however possible, still sucks at augementing the game, hence you can wind up only getting SoloQs while the other team consists of 2-2-1 premades for example.
Riot did some Elo pushing to make premade teams have a pseudo higher team elo therefore, but it doesnt change that letting a SoloQ team fight against one with premades is just a ****ed up situation...

Where's the source on that stuff? Even if it's true it actually doesn't affect anything. It's not like 2 sets duo queue and realize that then all get in skype to play together. Which means you have less than half the team working together with direct communication. But that's me.
The issue with solo queue is simply the people within solo queue. I'd hazard a guess that a majority of them are high schoolers who think they're ****ing invincible and as such act like complete ****tards while blaming their HORRIBLE game play on everyone else never accepting responsibility.
"Elo Hell": A point at which players begin to perceive their teammates to be of a lower level than they personally play at. This causes said players to begin to blame allies for their losses instead of being willing to admit they themselves are likely just as at fault for a loss.
Bluntly, elo hell is entirely in one's head.
And EVERYONE will be there at least once.

Elo Hell definitely exists if you're Wrath 8D
On a more serious note, it never existed in the first place and was only an excuse for bad players to use for being low elo.
Also, if you keep losing, logic automatically implies that it's your fault because you were the only common factor in all lost games.

I've said this many times but I've seen many pro streamers (The Rain Man for example) get more than 1 smurf to 2k elo in a short lapse of time. If elo hell truly existed, those pro streamers would be dragged down like anybody else. But the truth is, if you're good you go up. If you're bad you go down. Simple as that.
