Would you risk crushing your ego?
You talk about inflated ego as if it's a good thing.
That's like a country talking about inflation as a good thing, "but our GDP looks soo pretteh with it".
You don't want your ego to be inflated, you want to be realistic about your skill-level.
I had a 80% winrate on shaco at the start of the season up till around 25 games, then i started losing, then i started playing support shaco and now my winrate is at 65% with him. WHo the **** gives a **** about your stats, anything above 70% is unrealistic to be able to keep up with.

I just have a super inflated ego that is as fragile as glass atm. Maybe if I wait a while it will go away.
What if you get counter-picked and cannot avoid the Match Up?
Words of wisdom! My fear is going away. My inflated fragile ego sadly isn't :(
then I get countered, I do my best to passively play and not make risks, and get jungle ganks, or even ask for a lane switch. If I can't avoid it I can't avoid it. I have something like 20 games with Jayce, won every game of them, but I lost my lane at least 7 times in those games.
My point is, you have to still maintain confidence in your champion when you DO get countered and lose your lane. I got **** on a few times by counters as Jayce but He's still my top pick right now. Not a single pro player has a 100% win rating with their best champion I'm sure, but they still use them. When your Ego pops (and it will) minimize the damage by remembering that there is always room to improve and you just got outplayed and will learn and do better next time.
Ban out GoodPlays GG
It's not about ego, it's about always trying to get better and better with the favourite champ. I'll play ranked with my favourite champ any day, even if i fall to 500 elo. The important thing is that you master 100% that champ, because people learn from mistakes. In other words, not even counters can stop you. Then you'll find yourself climbing elo very easily.

Dude, if you play a champ well, just play them in ranked. Simple as that.
That's what I was thinking. If you won't even play a champion in ranked after a huge normal win spree, when on earth are you going to play them? You have to start some time. There's always a first ranked game with every champion.

Thanks to Fatelblade for the sig!
