Sona has no dashes or good ways to escape except using Crescendo, which has a cooldown and can't be used all the time. Song of Celerity only gives a movement speed boost, and if you get CC'ed, you're dead basically. Even if you "play passively" ( Sona actually has a lot of poke so you should play aggressively), doesn't mean you won't need it. Flash + Crescendo can have catastrophical effects and can change the game.

Because the enemy jungler shows up at level 3 and if he has any CC at all, you're dead.

I still don't see why cv and exhaust as a combo is bad. Both are great support spells. I know the fact it's a great escape, the combo with flash and ult. I used to do it, but teammates would never expect it then it would just be a waste. So i ult mid fight when everyone is already attacking.

Taking flash + cv with your ad being kog'maw or caitlyn, or even playing lux support/having lux mid would be an acceptable time to take it.. As long as you don't use it wrong

I actually disagree with xHolyLightningx about CV. It is viable. I have been using it, and winning games with it, even before its buff. However CV and Exhaust together are bad.

Alright, I went back, took some advice, not all of it. But I did some. I change up the Runes and Masteries to make Sona tankier to not be blown up as easily early game. I still stand by my summoner spells and build order 100% though.

CV has not lost effectiveness at all. Yes, you get 3 free wards from the Ruby Sightstone to ward your lane or key areas. But, it can help all your allies globally. Such as you ally trying to chase down an enemy, and they go into a bush to try and juke your ally. Or if it might be a bait. Just CV the area. Or noticing your top lane is pushed far up. You can CV near the top of river to see if the jungle, or mid if missing, might be waiting there for a gank. In the case top does not have a ward. I've gotten better through practice on when and where to CV. Saving allies. While flash helps yourself, CV can help the whole team. The point of this support guide after all.

I like the Phiosopher's stone early game because it is a great item early game. For the HP/Mana regen and extra gold. By the time I sold it one time I think it accumulated about 1500 gold. I don't remember the exact number. But that's the reward of killing 5 champions. Just for holding onto an item that keeps helping.

I did change things here and there though. Just not everything.

This guide is very...bleh. You say Flash isn't mandatory because "you should be playing passively" and not be being focused, yet by not taking Flash you are basically painting a big sign on your head that says "Come kill me please." especially during the teamfight phase when lacking a gap closer will easily get you killed. You'll also have a bad laning phase as well since any decent jungler will easily be able to gank you.

You could easily take Flash over Clairvoyance since it's no longer an effective spell. Sightstone means you can easily ward to check for incoming ganks and Twin Shadows lets you check global objectives before you ward.

1/0/29 build is also fairly meh, you are offering up more kills than you'll be helping your carry get.

You seem to think that buying Philo Stone over a Sightstone first is better, when it isn't, in fact since you don't use any upgrade form a Philo Stone, you shouldn't even buy it at all. It's 700 gold you can spent on a Sightstone which will have you more money in the long run.

I thought I explained that it is possible that people disagree with you :P

Sure, you might have given arguments why you picked the items that you did, but all these people say that there are better items than what you did.

That doesn't mean your build is bad, nono, it means it can improve!

So stop trying to defend your creation, if you think you are the only one on this website who tried his/her best for a guide, then you are wrong.

We all do our best for our guides, and it happends that the guide is very disliked even though you did your best for it. There are 3 things you could do:
* Defend the **** out of it and offend everyone that disagrees with you
* Try to learn from your mistakes and change your guide continuous in hope it will be liked again
* Archive it

You picked the first one, which is obviously the bad one.
Either put a more positive attitude towards your readers (they are your clients after all) or just archive it, and you will get no more negative comments from your readers.

I am not your enemy, we are not your enemy.
Now stop defending yourself NAHW! :D

He/ she doesn't look like he/she's going to take advice.
Just give it a vote and move on.

And Maiyjhe, this is my first guide written so I'm still new to how to use some of the stuff. Thanks for your suggestions though.

I have discussed why I build the way that I build. Apparently no one is reading what I write. Cause an argument is made, and the counter to that argument, for the most part, is already in this guide. So i'm just repeating myself. I can take legitimate constructive criticism. Coming up and saying everything someone does is wrong with no explanation is not legitimate. It was the equivalent of saying, "EVerything you have is wrong. That's all."
