I actually agree. The bible almost completely contradicts science.
When it comes to arguing with them though, it can be really annoying. They just throw in random **** like "You got a high mark on a test because god helped you". Yes, clearly its not the hard-working studying that paid off and that it's gods miracle.

the thing is they wouldnt be tempted to take the apple from the tree if it smelled like **** and was on top of a mountain, the point of the tree and apple being so close was the whole "temptation" thing, sorta like how a kid is told "dont eat any cookies" but the cookie jar is right there, if he takes the cookies he gets punished, like adam and eve did for eating the apple
moral of the story is to resist temptation or be punished
also if you want to have a decent discussion about religion again try not to say that the bible had "******ed design"

Why couldn't you just put this in the religious mega-thread you created less than a month ago instead of spamming off topic with your poorly thought out arguments about religion? I refuse to properly respond to your poorly contrived argument with a dignified response.
In addition, I have a question for you: If religion as a whole doesn't matter to you and you believe it's not real, then why do you obsess over it and study it more religiously than the people who believe in the religion? You have less than 60 years to live, I hope you're absolutely fine knowing that you're wasting that time on "something trivial and meaningless" like religion.

So this is Cuddowl's round 2 at bashing religion huh.
I've got a "friend" (note the apostrophes), who is religious. Normally I wouldn't even bother at arguing about believes with him unless he tries hard to make me feel as if everything that I've done is a sin and I should make amends, to God.
I was telling him about my history class (he was one year below me, so he wanted to know what my grade was like) and how we were learning modern history, mainly about Adolf Hitler. His parents are overprotective at things that he would be exposed to, to keep him "pure". This includes the news, video games, movies and other kinds of media. Anyways as he doesn't know much about Hitler I tried to tell him what I know, in a non-biased view.
After I had finished, he said that he was a terrible man, which most of us would agree. I said that although he wasn't a great man, was was quite charismatic and inspiring to the Germans and was a decent leader. He looked at me with disbelief in his eyes and said, "How could you think that someone like him is a good leader? Me had killed so many people and started a war, no matter what his talents were, he is still evil."
I replied that i didn't refer to him from a good or evil perspective, but just commented on his abilities, and never denied that he is evil. He then said that the history class in our school is corrupted and not pure, if they refer to such terrible man as a great leader. He then told me that God would never have forgave him and, someone can only be judged by their sins before "God".
I basically didn't talk to him for sometime after that, which I didn't want to anyway. Whenever I told him about how I believe in everything occurs for a reason that science can explain and I don't believe in divine intervention, he took offense to it and said that I'm not respecting his believes.
I even received a text form his mother saying that I've been bullying him and making fun of him, which I did not. Saying that you're an atheist has nothing to do with disrespecting anyone's belief. I just think that his family's idea of "purity" is ******** and will blind him, not enlighten him, as they would always say.
So basically now I don't even bother arguing about religion, as it's basically the same as telling a colourblind man that what he sees as red is in fact blue.
tl;dr arguing with religious people, especially the zealous ones, is like talking to a ****ing ******ed dog in cat language.

It's fun getting creationalists angry
And even funner seeing the stupid responses they always give me
Ignoring the fact that the grammar errors and use of funner over funnier makes your post ironic, who exactly is getting angry here? Most people on MOBAfire on both sides of the argument agree that most of the arguments and contributions to discussions you make are poorly thought out and are hopelessly ignorant. When people discount your posts and insights, it's simply them not being mad, rather them not wanting to waste time arguing with a brick wall. You've demonstrated your poor debate mannerisms in the past on multiple topics, so why should anyone feel the need to properly debate you at all with this in mind? My signature quote from you is there for a reason.
Regardless, this post reveals your intentions of inciting an argument to make the opposition mad rather than to go about this in a proper debate. That's rather childish, if I do say so myself. Bad form.

i knew a jehovah's witness in high school. holy hell, how can one have a childhood and be a jehovah's witness.
I like things that make me feel stupid. - Ken Levine
Based of this premise we can make more arguments. Why would god give dinosaurs Razer sharp teeth if they didn't need to rip apart flesh?
It seems as if all of life is based off the concept of sin. Because as I said before, if people never sin, they never die, which would defeat the purpose of eating.
And while we are on the subject of ******ed design, Why did god make it so easy to eat from the tree?
Couldn't he have thrown the tree on top of an unclimbable mountain and made the fruits stink of ****. Why did he place the tree in the center of the garden of Eden, made it short, and make the fruit pleasant to the smell. It's as if he wanted them to eat from it.
