I do like this honestly,
It had a lot of early game power, a bit too much.
If top lane bought this item and the enemy top lane did not, you have a much bigger advantage.
However, I agree, it is a fun concept to start with an elixer instead of an other item, but then they still should nerf it in some way.
Like that it lasts for 2 minutes, but that it now stacks like a health pot (so if you bought all your items, you can buy multiple
Elixir of Fortitude where elixir counts for 2 minutes, so that the amount of minutes = the amount of elixers bought x2)

they wanted to make a change to safer lanes. Elixir start brings anything but that. team games snowball really fast with towerkills and elixir starts. I think elixir is a medium/low risk, high reward item to start with, namely if you can coordinate a 3 or 4 man towerdive at level6 (after laneswaps and such) .
giving it +60g on cost would have been fair, imo, but ofc riot doesn't like such number and rounds it up.

i like this because it makes it a much bigger risk item, if you get it you want to get the most out of it like the early kill and if you dont then you wasted it
and it was too cheap to buy if you watched the LCS in one game someone misclicked and used theirs and they just recalled and got another cuz "loloops i used it on accident"

Elixer start was stupid guys. Let's be honest. Take it on someone that has a strong level one and you have a guaranteed first blood. My friends and I would all do it. I'd take it as AD carry, and they'd take it top, and we'd get three kills before anyone hit level two, and there was no reason not to take it. You could still get wards and more pots than you would with a cloth five start. It was perfectly safe and almost always resulted in a huge lead for two lanes.
Guaranteed first blood against ******s who never press tab. It's a 750 gold down investment if 3 people on your team take it, already putting them behind by 2 kills worth of gold.
Actually mr satella. It is 500 for two. AD carry and top. First blood is worth 400 gold and any other kill is 300. So that's 700 to 500. add in the third kill since bot will probably get a double and that also adds in two assists that your support will get which adds on another 50 gold each, and if your jungler ganks top that's three. that's up to 1150 gold from a 500 gold investment. Plus if you take it, even if you don't get kills it gives you huge safety in lane, and early lane dominance since the other team can't trade with you. Not to mention when activated you can last hit ridiculously easily. There is absolutely no reason not to take it, as I have already stated, and taking it puts you in a great position to dominate the early game. It needs a nerf.

Not only does this make the elixir less cost-effective late game, but a
