The MOBAFire chatroom on NA is usually pretty active during peak hours. You can also participate in the NA inhouses (see here); although I've rarely found those a good way to get terribly much actual feedback, it is nice to play a serious game in a relatively low-stress atmosphere.

You might want to work on your mid. Depends how easily you can get your role in soloqueue, but mid is generally considered to be the strongest carry role, especially in lower leagues. Carrying from bot lane can be pretty difficult. Having a duo queue partner also helps.

Thanks to Minho for the sig!
Thanks for the feedback lifebaka I will look into that. =)
And PsiGuard - You are right. It can be extremely difficult to carry from the bottom lane.
I honestly really love playing mid but I find the process of actually getting Mid can be a complete headache. I will end up last pick and call mid (Last pick is the perfect place for someone picking a mid APC champ in my humble opinion) but will be shot down by someone whining about Pick Order > Call Order. (I am sure we have all been here)

Pick order is something you'll have to cope with. People have different ways of dealing with it. Personally, I just let my team know my best roles and then play whatever's open when it's my turn to pick. If you're stuck with top or something and you're not a good top, then get better at top. Learning to play a decent ADC helped me a lot since I used to lose most of the games wherein I got stuck in bot lane.
Some other people try to beg and plead for their role, which can also work. I just find it's too much effort and can alienate me from my team. You'll have to find your own way of dealing with pick order. Ultimately, just calling mid isn't going to work all the time so you need to know what you want to do if someone takes your role.

Why IMMEDIATELY bring up your gender? JW
I've never identified myself as a 'gamer guy' in my life, so I don't understand why every female has to identify herself as such on the internet. About 90% of the time a girl will be super upfront about it even when not solicited for the info, and 10% of the time I'll learn later on down the road of playing together / being friends and it's somewhat surprising.
Do you think we would be less likely to help you if we didn't know your gender or assumed you were male?
Also, you can PM me about bot lane help. I've mentored worse than wood 5.

Enjoying dem perks throatslasher... dem perks

Uhmmm actually I just didn't know a witty title for the thread.
And perks? What perks? Half the time if I mention I am female in a game I get the "Oh ****.. GG Girls can't play video games.. or girls suck at video games thanks for ruining my series" That is not an exaggeration just for the record...
So sorry that I mentioned I was female.. I personally don't care one way or another and I even admit that guys reaction times is generally a lil faster then females so.. Sorry I hit your offensive meter there.. Wasn't looking for special treatment..

So here is my situation.
I have been playing LoL for over a year now. I own all of the champions and I can play most of them fairly decently. I am very familiar with the bottom lane spending a lot of time as both Support and ADC. Bot is where I am strongest I believe I play a fairly solid middle and my top is not as good as bot or mid but I am comfortable there as well. The only role that I find to be an uncomfortable fit for me is the Jungle. I can do it if forced to but I know I don't do it well so I try to avoid it for my sake and the sake of my entire team. =P My CS is not perfect but it is usually pretty good. My map awareness is not perfect but I do keep a good eye on my mini map and I ping my MIA's and try to make sure my team is aware of incoming danger. I rarely rage and try to acknowledge my teams accomplishments and not call people out
I feel like I play pretty well but I have found myself stuck in Bronze V for far longer then I am comfortable with and although I do believe that part of the problem is the other people in Bronze V (you do experience a great deal of leavers, trolls, ragers, and the like at this ELO) I am willing to admit that even after playing this game for a year there is still more that I can and should learn.
And so I find myself here. I would love to meet some new friends that play LoL and it would be amazing if you might be willing to mentor or coach me a bit. Give me some advice on how to get my butt out of this dark abyss that is bronze V and move on to better places. I know there is no magic trick to moving up but I know I must be doing something wrong currently and I would love some feedback on what it is. (constructive preferably heh)
So if you would be interesting in lending a hand or playing a few rounds. I play quite often (I work from home) and I play on the NA server. My IGN is Esbat.
Thanks for taking the time to read this
