Nah, a guy I regularly duo with, who's also my team's jungler, makes amazinggggg baron calls. Like, he'll randomly start pinging baron and shouting in chat "START BARONING, TRUST ME". Usually a few seconds after he says it, their ADC shows up on bot lane.
... And I guess I just accidentally discovered how he knows when to make those calls. He waits 'till bot is pushed with lots of minions and we can't see their ADC. Smart.
There's also times when we pink the baron and realize it didn't even have a ward, so we just start baroning and they either don't show up in time or don't show up at all.
Baron calls can be good. Baroning when they're all in a position to contest, know you're baroning, and aren't extremely low, is bad.

baron baiting is a really strong tool for disrupting enemy coordination.
im 100% against the concept of "you take baron or leave it and dont start it if you cant take it"

after playing for so long one thing I've noticed abt the difference between the cn and na servers are that people in na focus on individual mechanics more than everything, while cn players try their best to play as a team and have good team comps, etc
basically means you can't play anything troll or unconventional in ranked queues
