[/quote] Tier 1 runes are dirt cheap and are good for filling up the slots before you hit level 20 if you are an infrequent player who takes a while to level. Tier 2 runes suck though, they cost a lot and don't offer the best stats. Tier 3 runes cost mountains of IP but at least their stats are best in slot.[/quote]

[/quote] I lol'd hard. @Topic: On a more serious note, the best thing you can do is practice with all champs to find your "zone of comfort". Try all free2play champs every week, and focus on the ones you like. Save IP for tier 3 runes. I am sure you won't need to start maining a single role until you get to lvl 30. Right now just play all champs in all roles so you get a good grasp of the key points of the game.[/quote]
