Well tbh, I used to be heavy into WoW. Mostly PVE.
Anyone that played the game knows you can easily watch a movie while raiding/farming/being bored.
You learn quickly enough to play just by sound and a quick glance now and again to correct positioning.

LoL doesn't allow you to watch movies/shows.
So now I open up a book/page/something else to read while I'm dead. Upon loading I just browse, check my fleet, FS if needed, etc.

the highest time you have to wait in LoL is a minute...

and no, I'm not "****ing kidding" you.
I love earning achievements.
What's wrong with that? Are you seriously going to bag on about me daring to have a high interest in achievements.

because achievements turn the game into hunting for awards instead of having fun playing the game.

kill one hundred orcs with the ****ty dagger for 15g!

normal people: what a ****ing waste of time

achivement *****s: OOOOH 15G

achievements are just like anything else where you get a reward for doing x.

people grow to hate doing x and just do it for the reward.

pizza hut has this 'book it' program, where kids who read x books or something get a coupon for a free 6-inch pizza. most kids do it for the pizza, not because they like reading.

^^ Exactly it takes the bewilderment of childhood wonder out of everything to grind for the gamer score. Achievements take's away from the true purpose of any game which is to have fun and get lost into a world of excitement and wonder.

Something I wrote somewhere else:

The "cloud computing" Microsoft officials are referring to is pure ********.

As somebody that knows a lot of general information surrounding the inner workings of a computer it seems very inefficient to send a set of calculations from your RAM/CPU cache to the internet controller chip, to the router controller chip, through a long cable to the internet provider hub station router(s), to another few hub stations, to the Microsoft computing cluster and then back again.

It's not like 'normal' cloud gaming where you're just sending your inputs and receiving a simple video stream.
There's a huge difference between the two and 'cloud-aided' gaming in general seems like a very stupid concept.

A mistake? Your bias is blatantly obvious. Just because you only find fault with one thing doesn't mean that there's not more that is wrong, which is pretty obvious just by reading people's reactions in this thread alone. You're only thinking of things from your own selfish perspective.

As was pointed out by me and Lifebaka: the PS4 is an objectively better system; which doesn't say anything about whether it's good or not, just that one is better than the other.

stop trolling searz. its getting ridiculous. just because you cant open your eyes doesnt mean the xbox is bad. what their doing makes sense. devs SHOULD get money from used games. monitoring you to allow for hand gesture to control the tv and such is something people do want, and has been tried before but it ends up too expensive with a single device. connecting once a day isnt optimal but who the hell has no internet? thats not going to be a problem for 99,999999% of the time and for the other 0,000001% you can just use your phone and connect it. stop being idiots and start acutely thinking. and for those claiming the ps4 is objectively better then you know absolutely nothing about video games. even my grandmother understand something so simple as video games being subjective.

im just gonna point out that ~48% of the xbox 360's sold have never been connected to the internet or have xbox live on them (one of those two) (i dont have a source for this but its something ive heard frequently from other youtube videos but it makes sense)

and they already got money from the used game, they sold you a product the product is now yours to do what you want with it

its like saying if you buy a bag of chips and let someone else eat a chip from a bag they have to pay the company for it, which is wrong you bought the product its yours to do what you want with it

and if you think people cant connect their xbox to the internet what makes you think they have a phone to connect it to the internet too?

also i dont think you know the difference between objective and subjective

so? just because they havent been connected doesnt mean they cant be connected.

and how is it different than steam? please explain, why is it such a big difference between a physical disk and a digital game? IT MAKES NO SENSE WHATSOEVER. its the same ****ing game. theres no difference whatsoever. steam does it and eveyrone is ok with that. xbox does it and now its evil? why? in both cases you bought a game and you cant trade it.

and with xbox one you can trade it once. just like in steam you can play at your friends house if you log with your account, but with xbox you can actually give the games to someone that has been on your friends list for 30 days or more, but each game can only be given once. YET NONE OF YOU MENTIONED THAT. why? why are you so biased?

still, every single one of you is completely biased. you all attak microsoft for doing the exact same thing steam has been doing for years. even blizzard does it! can you trade world of warcraft? no. can you trade diablo 3? no. can you trade starcraft 2? no. yet you can buy each of those games as a physical disk.

i dont know the difference between objective and subjective? lol. its you who dont. it makes no sense to compare consoles objectively when the reason their even boght is their games. people like different games. i like halo, you might not. so if it is objective than how can you compare the tastes of different people? please explain.

and even then, if you analise it objective and ignore what games people want to play then the xbox comes out miles ahead. it already comes with an insane motion sensor and analysing software that can track everything that happens on your living room and allows for an insane costumization. does ps4 have that? no. so right away the xbox is better than ps4.

and the kinect only uploads what you want it to upload btw. when you turn it on for the first time your guided throw the kinect setup and choose everything it can track and upload. something no one mentioned either. "OH NO IT TRAQCKS EVERYTHING AND SENDS IT TO MICROSOFT". no. it tracks what you want it to track and sends what you want it to send. if you dont want kinect at all then it does nothing with the exception of "xbox on" turning on xbox.

but what id really like is if you answer me this:

Why do you praise steam for not allow game trades and hate microsoft for doing the exact same thing but allow you to trade one time?

your all nothing but ps4 fanboys. none of you has even bothered to acutely learn anything about xbox, you just say the same **** somebody said to you. if they told you that you have to sacrifice an animal every day to play xbox you would have believed it was true.

that's why they're putting so many servers up now, over 300 I do believe is the number.

Here's some nice, unbiased, review of a lot of things being bagged about:

In all honesty, achievements can be a nice diversion.
Tired of the same old kill, kill, kill? Why not try kill, kill, kill with a knife in stead of a gun?
But this is only if achievements are picked correctly.
Simply giving an achievement for 'Oooooh, 50 kills with that weapon, congrats', is kinda defeating the purpose.

The world is reward driven. Every child is forced to do something against his will for a reward, ie candy, icecream, stuffed bunny, playtime, etc.
Pizza Hut and/or ingame achievements are hardly going to make it worse.

'The true purpose of any game'. How I lolled at that. The true purpose of any game, for a very long time now, is to get your name in the highscore list. And guess what, that's remarkably similar to an achievement.

In other news, most of the games with achievement systems that require quite heavily farming do have an age restriction. And, gasp, at that age there should be very little left of your 'childhood bewilderment'.

Killing the 100 orcs isn't about that 15G.
It's about the exp, the rep and the contribution to the end rewards.
(and it also adds up to your total kills)

Yeah, noticed the wait times in LoL are a bit short.
Didn't get to FS in time, I then forgot it was sitting, now it's lost.

Mhm, I love earning achievements. It doesn't mean I can't enjoy the games thrills and wonder. I generally have a playthrough before I even start trying to earn achievements and, even when I am, its letting me discover new ways to play or giving me a chance to show off my skill. Not all achievements are grind.

But yeah, maybe you don't like achievements. Good for you, that's you. Not me. That's why I got annoyed when Searz had to post that pic, obviously making fun of me.

And yeah, the waiting time for LoL is really short. I generally just check out what items I want to buy next, watch my teammates, or strategise for the next teamfight etc.
