Might also consider doing like a mini interview type deal with the players? Sending them a questionnaire via PM to get their favorite champions / roles to include (sort of like a mini pro player picks)?

Echoing PsiGuard, I think it would be better carried out on an opt-in basis rather than an opt-out basis. That said, it sounds really interesting both as entertainment and a learning tool. I'm very interested in seeing it in general and whenever I get back into inhouses myself I would absolutely love to see what is made of my own play.
