You SHOULD rate it by the same standards you rate any new series. Just because things get better doesn't mean that you have to call the old things good. It doesn't make any ****ing sense.
Yea I know I should :S The art isn't bad, it's just old :P

^ Agreed :P
I've watched like 5 episodes of Majin tantei nougami Neuro and I'm getting worried
Spoiler warning
Also found anime Claymore which has same sort of look and style as Berserk did, so it caught my attention. Going to watch few more episodes to draw a conclusion of it, but it seems nice.
So many good animes/mangas to read at the same time >.< Gotta put them in order.

Each episode goes like --> Neuro finds mystery, he easily solves it and eats the mystery. I'ts been like this for the first 5 episodes and it has +80 more.
Does it have a single plot at all or is it like every episode has it's own plot ?
I don't like watching +90 episodes of easily solving the cases.
That's barely spoiler-worthy.
This is the exact reason why I didn't like Detective Conan.
I read almost 200 chapters and it was just random mysterious crime after random mysterious crime. The plot didn't develop ****. It now has over 800 chapters, which makes it painfully obvious that the author just wants to extend the length of the series by not resolving any of the central plot.
The moment a religious person unknowingly calls his own ways stupid: "And lol. I highly doubt you have magic powers. If you proved it I would believe you, but since you 'refuse to', I choose not to."

Yeah well I wasn't sure if I'd spoil someones joy of watching it. Better be safe than regret later.
So It's the same stuff with Neuro series ? Gonna skip the serie then. It is interesting for the first episodes, but knowing the same plot is followed by 80 more episodes...
Most of the episodes from Neuro have the same pattern only in the end things change a bit because the story around Sai and his past becomes more important.
I only watched it till the end because Neuro is awesome.
btw.
Started reading 20th Century Boys (was far too long on my list :<).
Reminds me of Monster and the first 30 chapters were pretty decent.

I'm done watching Kannagi.
This is one of the anime I watched like 4 years ago and totally forgot about them.
It's a comedy anime with quite a fair amount of romance, but not enough to be classified as romcom.
It was sweet to watch. I totally enjoyed it. I believe it deserves more attention than it actually gets.
The premise seems pretty typical at the very start of the anime, like a bit harem-ish sort of. However, It turns out that it's not quite the case.
The comedy is it's strongest asset. Like, I laughed my *** off at many scenes and face expressions. Very very few fan-service elements, and definitely funny conversations and interactions between the characters.
The few romance elements were there mainly to spice up the comedy, but I can't help but wish it was developed into an actual romance between the two main protagonists.
The art is fine, nothing great, but still decent.
The plot, well it's okay. Could have been a better ending though. Still fine.
I can safely recommend it if you're into comedy. Although it falls off a bit in a couple episode, It's still worth watching for me.

Just watched episode 14 of Shingeki No Kyojin.
It was fairly good.
They added like 5minutes of stating the obvious and less obvious (that some are too dumb to figure out) a la' episode 11, but at least they didn't change important dialogue this time around.
But I do feel like they really hurt the narrative with that. In the manga you only see Eren in the dungeon, walking to court, then partaking in court. That isolated point of view where you really have to look for hints at the circumstances really helped the story in my opinion, and it's a crying shame they ****ed that up in the anime.
I must say they did Eren's outburst really damn well though.
The soundtrack in general is really nice honestly, even if they **** up the narrative time and time again.
By the way, there's now a bit of a spoiler in the opening, let's see if you guys can find it ;)
I also like the new opening way better than the first.

I won't say anything about the art, because It was released on 1998. Therefore comparing it with modern anime art-wise is nonsense.
No. What you are saying is the actual nonsense.

Also, I'm gonna watch Serial Experiments Lain hopefully some time this summer.
