Any solutions for laptop overheating that might...

Not a single part in my desktop PC goes above 60°C when under heavy load. CPU is at ~20°C idle, ~40°C load. GPU is at ~30°C idle and ~50°C load. HDDs run at ~25°C. I will be getting a new gaming desktop hopefully soon, so I don't really need a radical fix.[/quote] You'll probably want to try blowing pressurized air through the fan in the laptop, to clear any dust and shit in the fan/heatsink. Make sure that you have a paperclip or something jammed in the fan so that it doesn't spin. It [i]could[/i] be harmful for your hardware if it spins. Make sure you blow the air into the intake and angle it towards the exhaust (the intake is usually at the bottom and the exhaust is usually at the back or at the side, or both). You could also try disassembling the laptop to clear the fan/heatsink manually, but this doesn't work on all laptops(some aren't built in a way that you can disassemble them without special tools). If you do this you'll want a tube of thermal paste to replace the old one. Replacing the standard thermal paste with proper paste can lower temperatures significantly. I tried it on my old GPU and that alone lowered the temp from 80 to 70 during load. Ever since then I've been replacing the thermal paste on everything I can remove the fan on. A disk that full can be painfully slow(HDD/SSD speed only affects loading times of programs/games, so gaming performance should be unaffected). You really should clean out some shit. Start with low quality series you have that you might re-download in higher quality later when you have the space.[/quote]

That vent on the side is obviously the exhaust, so blow from the intake at the bottom towards that exhaust. Good luck finding pressurized air. Hardware stores will probably have it, but the easiest way would probably just be to pay a visit to a friend or relative that has a compressor.
