Im 13-4 with Renek in ranked atm and my last loss ended up as 18/2...

Hes amazing in lane and has EVERYTHING, his double dash allows you to outmaneuver your enemy laner and his ultimate wins most of the all ins and can let you towerdive easily. His damage will fall off lategame inevitably but his tankyness doesn't.

Give your team an advantage before you fall off and don't let the enemy ADC have peace, thats all.
Gave you a good laugh or helped? rep+ so i can know ;)

Thanks to TinyStar, Jhoi, Xiaowi, Virus, Bard and Arcana(eww)...for my signatures!

Elohell is like Irelia's stun: if your real level is equal or lower than the level you are in, you're STUNNED there forever. If your actual level is higher than the level you are in, you're just SLOWED in your way up.

funny; nice contribution to the thread. Curious how many people learned something

the problem renek brings to the table that he isnt as tricky in laneswaps.
sinc he is physical, the opponent can just go for armor runes and build the same stuff regardless of swaps.

Thats a huge reason ppl love magical toplanes atm.

+rep for sam; That's something that people don't actually think about lul.

How often do lane swaps happen in higher ELO ranked soloqueue games (gold/plat/diamond)?
If I helped you out, be sure to throw me a +Rep!

the swaps dont happen all that often in soloqueue but are really common in ranked5s play.

if you see competitive gaming tierlists thats something to keep in mind ;)

I feel like Spirit of the Elder Lizard does a better job than Tiamat in regards to 1v1 and waveclear. Sure, you can't upgrade Elder Lizard into Hydra, but if the reason you're building Tiamat/Hydra is for the early damage and waveclear why not just spend 100 gold more for an item that would probably give a larger damage spike. You get 5 less AD and 1 less Health Regend, but you also get 10% CDR and arguably a better passive.

Again, I haven't tried it, but just looking at the reasoning you gave it seems Elder Lizard would be better

But, there is another thing about the Tiamat/Hydra active, that make it valuable on Renekton.

If you use his W, he can't move or attack for ~ a second. If you use W and instantly use the Tiamat/Hydra active, he breaks out of that and attacks instantly again. (unless this was patched while I was on holiday ofc).

Still not saying that you should buy Tiamat all the time, since building him tanky is pretty much the best way to go, but if you're already ahead, why not? You clear the waves even faster and can then help to go get your other lanes fed.
