Or he thought that patch 3.10 wasn't that big of a deal and not a lot has changed, so he only updated the title. Maybe he is still working on updating the guide but accidently already updated the title. Maybe he is on a holiday and asked a good friend to keep his guide updated by refreshing and stuff like that, but forgot about the big changed of patch 3.10 and the friend has no clue what to do, the author doesn't either because he is too far away from home.

You dont know that unless you ask. The only people able to change someone elses guide anyway are admins, and admins are very busy people.
Once the author would respond with something along the lines:
GTFO, people now think my guide is up to date while it is not
Then I would contact an admin, before that, just ask the author :P

If the author ignores you for a while or refuses to change, feel free to report the guide so a mod can look at it and hopefully change it :)

Upon closer look on other guides, I have found out that many writers are doing the same thing and taking advantage of the lax moderation. I am not going to bother going through the process of contacting the writer, waiting for his reply, and reporting for most of the guides. However, I will be ignoring the freshness indicator when I'm picking guides to read.

Well, you have to understand that there are so many guides, and only a few mods. It's impossible for them to check each and every one, so attentive users like you help a lot :)
But I personally ignore any guide that has the patch version in the guide's name, saves me a lot of trouble :P

This guide's title is changed to Patch 3.10 while its content obviously is not. This is misleading the people who are looking for a guide.
