Wayne3100's Quest for Platinum (Season 3)

GMD and I picked last and decided to add some tankiness to our team considering we had a jungle [[Malzahar]] pick. In game, I played a bit too passively in lane early on, because I haven't laned against [[Wukong]] often, but know from my experience playing him that he can be quite strong. Luckily, once we both reached level 6 I realised I could beat him and I eventually managed to get a kill before applying heavy pressure to his tower while he roamed elsewhere (without any success since most of the map was warded). I ended the lane with a decent advantage in cs (though I didn't farm exceptionally well) and a kill. Meanwhile, [[Zed]] had gotten several kills on Cassio early with the help of [[Nautilus]] ganks, then roamed bot several times for more and just generally looked to become very hard to deal with, but luckily [[Cassiopeia]] did a great job at farming, which kept her in the game. It also wasn't long before I picked up some more kills, allowing me to build incredibly tanky and basically do whatever I wanted in fights since they didnt have the damage to take me down. With [[Malzahar]] making sure to ult [[Zed]] asap so he couldn't burst anyone, we won most teamfights during this phase, with the absolute highlight being one where GMD looked to have gotten caught, but the enemy team blew so much on him trying (and managing, in the end) to kill him that the rest of us could clean them up and finish the fight with 4 kills for 1. This continued throughout the rest of the game as we played the teamfighting phase very well, which made for a very comfortable win in the end as it allowed us to secure a lot of objectives and slowly work our way towards destroying their Nexus. In all fairness, I didn't play too well, I don't have a lot of experience in the matchup, I died when I got ganked by [[Vi]], then managed to keep the gap in cs at a respectable level (~15-20) before [[Yorick]] got a double buff randomly in a 3v3 fight in our jungle and I was pretty much done for. I went for a very tanky build for teamfights to protect our fed [[Tristana]], and just as it looked to have worked (we got back as a team, we were winning), we got engaged on in mid when [[Zyra]] left to push a wave of minions in the sidelane and they ended in one go. But hey, last two times I went 1-0 and lost, maybe this time this means I'll win? #believe [center][h2][color=red]SCORE: 0-1[/color][/h2][/center][/quote]

Not much to say, they had a very weird comp, [[Caitlyn]] and I dominated bot lane, [[Riven]] crushed top and GMD pretty much did the same mid after a while. Just a solid stomp. I was thinking about [[Rejuvenation Bead]]+5pots+Ward, but i honestly no longer know if that even is supposed to work. I am also assuming your runes and masteries are made of an hefty ammount of AD/armorpen and armor. Either way, classic rule to beat [[yorick]] is to outsustain him and gank him early, even though it seems your jungler didn't really have that in mind. I'm sure if you and gmd get solo lanes you'll get the promotion.[/quote]
