You don't need pure AP, which makes it a waste of gold that you could have spend on an item that would benefit your team. if you want AP, go for items like [[Morellonomicon]] (600 gp more for 5 less AP, 20% CDR, and a passive that would have been useful against the enemy team), [[Twin Shadows]], [[abyssal scepter]], and other similar items that actually provide benefits your teammates can utilize. In that game, it probably would have been better to skip on the AP entirely and get something like [[Frozen Heart]] or [[Randuin's Omen]], considering Cait was one of the most fed members of their team and no one had anything to really debuff her.[/quote]
