Is it worth a watch because I've been debating with myself about getting it it seemed good but this is yet another series like SnK that fanboys have ruined for me with constant relentless babble about it and incessant talk of how it is a must watch and I should cancel every other anime on my list just for this.
If I have helped in anyway at all a +rep will be appreciated lots

Thanks to LaCorpse, Hogopogo and JhoiJhoi for the amazing sigs

You are aware that Another is straight up horror, right? If the first chapter of the manga doesn't make that clear, the manga might have issues, but the anime was fine.
This made me confused, so I went back to check, and it seems I might have mistaken it for another series..
And I cannot for the life of me remember which one it was...
I must have read it in tandem with Another, seeing as I remember the first few pages, but the rest being different.
The funny thing is that the other story also had the same premise of an invisible/dead girl, but the major difference being that the girl in that manga gets naked in like 2seconds flat after she meets the main char.
I'm probably giving Another another shot. (I should consider a career in comedy)

@ searz, I am up to like chapter 10, I don't read it that much because I have better things to read and am thinking about dropping it, also it wasn't jerk off material it was pretty much a laugh at the stupidity of the manga to kinda brighten my day up, I'm just gonna find better ones to do that though.
It's jerk-off material for lots of people, trust me.. D:
If you want good comedy manga I have two recommendations for you:
Wolf & Mary: it's a black comedy with plenty of mature themes, but without any of the fanservice so common in comedy manga(like KissXSis). Only ˜120 pages long though ;(
Silver Spoon: it's a slice of life comedy, but the twist here is that it's not normal high-school life, it's agricultural high-school life. It's a very unique manga that definitely has some laughs in store. It's written by Arakawa Hiromu, the author of Full Metal Alchemist, if that means anything to you.

I really, really enjoy watching index/railgun so yeah I'd recommend it :3

@ Searz I don't doubt it is for some people but I didn't pay much attention to that side of it, if I wanted jerk off material I'd sooner go to a porn site than a manga, also thanks for the suggestions I'll give them a go, currently reading Rosario Vampire after putting it off for so long though after watching the **** (I still enjoyed it) Capu 2. The fact that the author of Silver Spoon wrote FMA has no impact on me as I haven't read FMA so I don't know what his style is like.
@ Xeres I'll give it a look, with school holidays coming up the list I have should keep me entertained for a while, I'm not too sure about science fantasy stuff but it looks interesting.

Hey Searz, even if Wolf & Mary was VERY SHORT; the last chapters, especially the last story relevant page, made up for it. Glorious.
YOP.
Was not expecting that, lol.

Exactly. The logic is astounding.

Rosario Vampire seems hilariously bad.

Her*, the author is a girl.
FMA is lauded by many as one of the best manga series ever, and you might have noticed that the anime adaptation FMA:Brotherhood is very popular too(Cuddles recommending it all the time --.--).
If anything it should at least indicate that the author has the ability to create great stories.

As a general rule you can completely disregard anything fanboys say about popular media.
It's probably decent, but likely not anything more than that.
Google has a job title called "Head of Black Community Engagement"..
I don't know whether to cry or laugh.. or both.
I don't know whether to cry or laugh.. or both.
I have the tendency to start reading Mangas up to their current state and then completly forget about them; Blood Lad and Another are prime examples for his.
Anyways, I wouldn't call Another a horror, like, wat? I never watched the Anime except the first silly episode and in the Manga I came far enough for some
Spoiler: Click to view
I would rather call it a mystery than horror, then again I don't really read that much horror and the only horrors I read and come to my mind right now are all translated works from Junji Ito.
