Shingeki No Kyojin has apparently aired its first episode today. Anybody know when and where one might find subbed versions of it?
gg and Commie have versions up. Commie might've done something stupid with the title, and gg's higher download numbers are at least partially due to being the first up.

Hey again :D
This week-end I've just finished Shiki and Sankarea.
Shiki: It didn't suit my tastes so I didn't really enjoy it. In the end It was like zombie-survival style that really didn't appeal me that much. However I could recommend it for people who enjoy soft horror.
Sankarea: I liked everything about it except one thing: Unnecessary fan-service. The art was nice enough, the animation was good, the comedy was fine (Kinda laughed every episode), the plot was awesome in fact. The story remained vague and with a lot of holes in it but it's normal since this season was just a prequel to the real deal (season 2) according to the manga.
But, unnecessary fan-service was unnecessary. No one, I mean no one can understand the concept behind a sexy zombie girl who licks another girl's boobies for no reason.
@Searz I watched Shingeki No Kyoujin Ep 1 with french subs. It looks more than promising! I rarely looked forward to see the next episode of an anime like this one.
Next, I'll be watching Zetsuen No Tempest from Lifebaka's post and start Nichijou right after.

Done with EP 1 of Shingeki no Kyojin.
It's good. Not as good as the manga, but it does it justice for the most part.
I think the pacing in the manga is better, but the art was really, really good... where it was moving. It has some pretty obvious "stills". I dun like stills :/
The anime really tries too hard to dramatize some scenes, having the opposite effect of adding drama, almost making it silly(the hand scene is a perfect example of this).
I hate it when they over dramatize things. Those scenes are plenty amazing already, without the need for rapidly moving hair (without wind) and "speed lines" (the scene is not moving..).
Also, the OP was pretty meh.

I watched it today and like it. Art is definitely up to date. Story seems interesting and suggests depth. I hope they give some background information about: what caused almost extinction of human race, who are titans, why are they there, what is their motive... Anyway, found another series to watch, hopefully it won't disappoint.

@Yaya: You dont like psychological animes since u dislike Shiki?
Zetsuen no Tempest isn't that great, it starts kinda good but after something happened(i think its around ep 10 or 11) it just goes downwards from there on.
Started watching Kaiji yesterday, i googled up stuff similiar to one-outs and that got suggested, ofc i didnt expected it to be as good as One Outs and the Mainchar being a loser(but having the same voice actor as Touka) not being as great as Touka in One Outs, with that in mind its kinda nice and im nearly at the end of Season 1.
Watched first episode of Date a Live, and i didnt underestimate when i said this is going to be my "shut down your brain and just watch"-****...maybe i need to do more than just shutting down my brain...
Going to watch Suisei no Gargantia later and have high hopes for it, coming from Gen Urobochi.

Ye, pretty meh.
Song was meh and while it did start out pretty good in terms of animation, the latter half of it was almost bad with the ridiculous scenes and flashing images of the manga.
"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.
I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

I do like psychological anime. I did like the fact that It keeps making you wonder what is good and what is evil (At least that's the impression I've got from it or else I've totally failed grasping the psychological side of Shiki). I don't know, I didn't like it from Episode 17 upwards, the whole Do-not-get-bitten survival theme. For me I see Vampires as Majestic entities yet in Shiki I can't help but percieve them as the likes of a mere zombie.
If I had to rate it I'd give it 7/10 which isnt so bad. I know Shiki isn't bad, it jus't didnt quite get me caught in it.
I'll follow your advice and leave Zetsuen No Tempest for later. I'll watch Darker Than Black instead then.
I'll update when I finish watching it.

As for the language element:
People seem to forget the most important rule of any language.
Which is: Every rule has its exceptions.
Yes, exactly. I'm arguing that it cannot be generalized completely like how Cuddles says it. Some words will be exceptions to the rule of "lack of" plural in Japanese words, or words adapted from there.
