I Like this guide, especially the detailed item section. I play a lot of Jarvan nowadays and I find the combination of tankiness and true bruiser really work well for my playstyle and I can vouch for the effectiveness of BotRK or (my favourite) Hydra on J4. However, I agree with extradelicious in that rushing a FULL attack item straight after Spirit makes you far too squishy coming into midgame. I would only recommend this if quite ahead in both lanes and jungle presence.

Also, have you considered starting spirit stone into brutaliser before finishing spirit and going tank? Most people would argue that your kit gives you enough shred early game but brutaliser is disgustingly good on J4 early game, so good that I get it almost 9/10 games. Good Guide hope to see your opinion on the Early game :)

EDIT: Also I just feel it should be stressed that mobi boots on J4 are quite possibly one of the best and most fun combo's for a jungler in the entire game. Getting into the fray, Escaping like only a true Demacian can, running Literal circles around the enemy team before engaging, engage/disengage/re-engage power... The list goes on and on. Plus, it's Truly Truly Truly Outrageous.

I like the guide, I just have a qualm about your build. If you go Blade of the ruined king after your spirit item, that will be about 5.3k gold. That will mean that if you build a spirit item and then your blade of the ruined king, you will be heading into teamfights with virtually no tankiness if you went lizard elder and only maybe 1.8k-ish health with no real armor or magic resist.

Idk, I just think you'd be way too squishy. I look forward to your counterargument!

yeah i see what you meant. What i was trying to say was that even if you go counter or normal jungling you should go for wolves after blue, since if you kill only the golem or the Lizard, you receive almost enough XP for the next lvl, but not enough, so if you are countering or you are getting countered, you will be focusing on taking the buff, and if you had taken wolves and the buff you would be lvl 3 giving you a health damage and all sorts of advantages over your opponent alowing you to bash his skull open with your lance. :)

Good guide!
I just picked up Jarvan as my new jungler and altho the first few games were terrible, It is working quite well for me now. I just don't understand what you meant with doing wolves first even when counterjungling, since almost every jungler goes straight to red and don't you come too late if you do wolves first? (I've never tried it so I wouldn't know)
and I think mouvement should be movement?
but you certainly gave me a few new builds and such to try :)

I really like the way this guide is setup. Item combinations I haven't thought of before.

Though the Frozen Mallet isn't built from the Phage anymore.

yes i have considered it, but i have not played a lot with different runes. I will certainly experiment a bit with the runes but its a bit of tedious work so i will leave them for after i have completed the other chapters. I will write that down when i start writing the rune chapter, i thank you.

Have you considered not using armor runes on jarvan? Due to being able to start with your e, he gets about 10. That basically makes up for the runes, and you could possibly opt with different options and variations of runes
