Can anyone recommend a good action/romance/comedy anime it can be just one of the genres or a mix idc (pls no mecha/action anime the only one I liked was Infinite Stratos out of the 4 or 5 I've seen) but I am running out of things to watch these holidays, currently I have Heavens Lost Property/Forte and Highschool DxD left on my list since I stopped the SNK anime coz manga is way better, I finished Zero no Tsukaima way to quickly coz I liked it that much (wait what me watching a subbed anime and liking it? wtf is happening :p ), so now I'm fresh out of new anime and there's still a week and a half left of my holidays.

On another note anyone else excited for Freezing: Vibrations, I hope they stick to the manga more than season 1 and cut the fanservice down a bit as the manga is focused more on the story and the combat scenes. That being said I wouldn't mind if they missed out the siblings arc or at least shortened it coz that bit was pretty messed up, judging by the preview it skips straight to the Alaska arc but the siblings arc does have a pretty big impact so personal feelings aside they should explain at least a little. I would recommend anyone that was interested in the anime to go read the manga, it is much better and is up to about where season 3 of the anime would be (unless Vibrations is a 24 episode season).

My (probably poorly written) rant is now over now if only season 3 of Sekirei (there is more than enough material in the manga for a 3rd and maybe 4th season) is gonna be made and if only Gonzo can fix the catastrophe that was Rosario Vampire Capu 2 and actually make another season that fits to the manga I would be happy.
If I have helped in anyway at all a +rep will be appreciated lots

Well, seeing as you apparently like Shounen garbage I guess I can recommend Nanatsu No Taizai. It's a decent shounen. I've only read the manga, but there is an anime airing right now I believe.
Zippy Ziggy is another similar alternative, although I found Zippy a bit more comedic than most other shounen. (not sure if this has an anime tho)

Eyeshield 21 is also pretty decent(possibly even good), but again, I've only read the manga.

Not sure if you've read/seen it, but Blood Lad is probably right up your alley.
"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.

I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

It's not that I only like shounen garbage it's just that I watch mostly shounen because as I have already mentioned (I think) I don't much like to watch anime to think about it, I watch it for entertainment and quality is kinda sidetracked, was looking at blood lad and it didn't look so bad, also I probably should've asked for manga as well since I read a lot more manga now. Anyway can anyone tell me if Claymore is worth a watch because I had a friend recommend it, he also recommended Yosuga no Sora so I'm not sure whether to trust him.

On a completely different note I found a pretty decent anime reviewer on YouTube link here

Oh yeah if you can recommend a higher quality anime of any genre but mecha I would be grateful since I am thinking about actually watching some anime that are more serious.

Claymore is decent, but certainly nothing special. I think that applies to both the manga and anime.

All the ones I mentioned in my last comment have manga versions, so you could read those.
Other than that you could give Tough a read, it's a pretty decent fighting manga.
And if you haven't read these three yet(I've mentioned them before) you REALLY should give them a look, as they are more than decent:
Wolf & Mary
Silver Spoon
Feng Shen Ji (one of my favorites, very much worth your time)

Seen Mushishi?

Also, give Koe No Katachi a read if you want something more serious in manga form. It's really good so far.

K thanks, I am starting Wolf & Mary now since I just caught up to Freezing recently so I'm in need of a new manga. Mushishi did interest me when I looked at it a while ago so I reckon I'll give it a look, the art for Feng Shen Ji looks awesome I might give it a go.

Watch Mushishi. It's great.

There's not much this fall season that really excites me. Maybe Pupa, if it turns out to be good; I could really go for a good psychological thriller with supernatural elements right about now. There's a lot I'm going to watch, and probably several I'm going to enjoy, but almost nothing that really lights a fire in me, that I'm going to be really hoping turns out to not suck. 'Cuz let's be honest, guys. A lot of anime sucks.

Also, Searz, it looks like they're simultaneously doing a Pupa manga, the first issue of which comes out tomorrow (3/10/2013). If it looks up your alley, could you tell us what you think?

This Spring seems to be a pretty poor time for anime, looking forward to Freezing: Vibration and IS season 2, not much else apart from that though I think there was one, Strike the Blood or something that one of my friends was getting excited about that looked ok but that might have been something that is already released and he was just looking at. Little Busters! Refrain looks good but I haven't seen Little Busters! yet.

Also regarding a post by Searz not too long ago about me liking only shounen garbage, after a bit of investigating most of the stuff I watch, well the stuff I enjoy the most at least is actually more in the Seinen Demographic than Shounen (things like Sekirei and Freezing).

just finished Highschool DxD and up to episode 10 if new but my torrent client is ****ing up and is making me force recheck every 5 minutes so I can't download anything, maybe its coz my hard drive is pretty full. Anyway I don't see why everyone hates on DxD, it has a story line behind it and is decent when you look past all the fanservice (way too many tit and panty shots) but it provides good comedy, definitely no high quality stuff although the soundtrack to season 1 was well above average, probably gonna get hated on myself for saying so but I really liked it, I find it intriguing and the only thing really wrong with it is that like Highschool of the Dead it would be a decent anime but is packed with so much fanservice it is borderline softcore porn which kinda detracts from the quality as the story is sidetracked, what do you expect from a studio that produced the wonder School Days.

On a different note this is a pretty entertaining review of HoTD.

Would you prefer I use 'seinen garbage' instead?

You mean this thing? The chapters have been out for a while.
If the anime is anything like the manga it's gonna be terrible.

Here's what I wrote about it before:
"It was terrible.

Art was below average, story was a mess and and had zero ****ing sense of pacing.

The most prominent thought in my head at most plot twists was: HOW CONVENIENT.
The entire freaking plot is just terribly contrived and convenient.

It's probably gonna turn into a high-school(slice of life or shounen depending on what path the author takes) manga where they have to keep up their appearances at school while hiding their dark secrets.

The most (and possibly only) clever part of the entire thing was the bears. Those were awesome. They were waaaay creepier than anything else the series tried to muster(and they really tried, lol)."

Also, there's sort of a meat-eating fetish going on. It would be kinda creepy if it wasn't so damn weird and silly.

Damn. The site I'd looked at said the manga was starting yesterday. Oh well. I guess I'll temper my hopes a bit. I've got a pretty high tolerance for ****py anime.

Fetishism itself could be interesting, if it's the point of the entire thing. See Nazo no Kanojo X; at least the first half or so, it started to drag after that.
