What is most important in picking a main champ for ranked?
I specifically avoid the "god-tier" champions because A) they will get banned or B) somebody else will want to play them. I just make it a point to avoid almost everything mainstream.
When looking to narrow my champion selections, I generally look into (cc) the champions I have experience with AND (cc) have fun playing. Then I try to find the most (cc) versatile few and spam them every game in every role. That massively determines what I will be playing a lot (cc).

Jayce and
Urgot a lot because both of them can play in multiple different roles and have extremely versatile kits and playstyle.

Personal habitual activites? Utilizing gargantuan idioms to fabricate intelligence.

That's terrible advice. As a mid-laner right now, you got to understand how to play a proper

Also both

I would say, pick the champions that you are familiar with, practise a game with the champion and once you are confident with that champion then I would suggest trying it out in normal or custom.
Personally I would choose really strong champions, the more win rate, the more IP you get and it develops your skills on how to play against your opponent, it will include your own sense of playstyle as well. If you play safe, work as a team, keep in mind you got to wards no matter what and having a good strategy in winning a game.
I found out that if players flaming each other for not picking which roles they wanted to be, or blaming others for no reason may result in not communicating in the team, not playing serious and end up trolling and ruining the games for others who wants to win. I think players should respect each other no matter what, and talk in chat box in a postive way rather then the opposite.
Also depending on which roles you prefer, find out with roles you like and which one you good at and just practise and practise till you get the hang of it. I personally started rank and my roles was all of them but i decided to just do support because its the role that I'm good at and I can help my ADC, as well as my other team members.
Season 4 will be coming soon, so I'm hoping to start fresh and climb up the ladder with my skills that I'm able to master. Another thing is don't get stress because if you do then its not good, I mean I play the game just for fun and I try to be nice to all the players who are out there who plays LOL.

For me it's pretty simple: I need to have fun. And in doing so I do not need to win every time. I do need to win consistently for the experience to be pleasurable. So, I voted for reason #1: fun. Then comes experience with the champ and how likely I am to win with it. Hence,
Scuba Gragas
is tearing it up.
As for other roles, I just play champs that are a combination of 'not trash', I enjoy playing them and have -some- experience with.
Oddly enough, I suck at most other champions mid. If Fatman is banned I usually try to go top or support.

I also ADC with Jinx, top with Garen or Jax, and support with Lulu or Sona. I don't really jungle that much anymore though so is have to practice to get up to snuff again.
