Nope.

You said yourself that you still rage in your head, doesn't matter if you don't write, but it's still affecting you.

It's not that you improved by raging less,
it's that you raged less after improving and getting into higher tiers.

No one is arguing that top players won't let anything at all affect them, but that doesn't mean that raging less won't have an influence on how high someone will be able to climb.

If player A and player B are two players of equal skill, but player A starts raging as soon as he sees a teammate feed while player B doesn't let this affect him and focuses instead on his own performance, I can Garentee you player B will end up higher than player A. It's about where you draw the line, how fast you start to rage or let something affect you mentally.

If someone says he has improved by not raging as much, this is exactly what that person is talking about. Realising that **** happens and that you need to focus on your own performance is a huge step towards becoming a better player.

Eh, too many players act like Jim.
I for one only rage when I do everything in my power to help my team win but still lose. This has only happened around 5-6 games (Lets be honest here, playing flawlessly is very rare but does happen) and it has gotten me so demotivated and angry at the game. :c

Losing can be fun sometimes, I honestly don't mind losing a good, close game. If I get stomped I would be a little cranky though, but nothing I couldn't get over in a matter of minutes. You also tend to learn more while losing cause you don't take note of your mistakes if you're winning :)

Player A and Player B are totally different. Rage isn't what makes one win and the other lose.

Rage CAN make you lose games that you'd have won otherwise, the same as a cold, backpain or an annoying guy that sits right beside you can, but that's not the point.

That stuff CAN make you lose games, but there's no given that it HAS to.

The only thing that is a given is that you should refrain from raging in the chat, simply because you lose time and concentration while writing.

Instead of following some make believe philosophy like "no rage = more skills" ppl should simply stop flaming in chat and start working on their skills, if they scream at their screen which displays the champ of some ****ty brat somewhere around the globe, who deserves to be pummeled with a 9-Iron.... Just let them do it, it will help to reduce stress.

"Not raging" is not a solution, but a result.

I get upset by bad team mates in ranked a lot, since they are dragging me down. I hate them, sometimes I shout at my monitor stuff that sailors would go "Whoa" if they heard it... :D

But I never take it in game and in team chat. I know that it won't help anyone. And since it is not helping me either (can't focus on game while trying to figure out most rude verbal expressions.. :D), slowly I am learning not to give a toss about them. They feed? Ok. Let's try to avoid their laning oponents later in game. That's it.

And my newest addition to this is "I don't care" attitude in solo que. I try to do my best, I try to coordinate my team mates and stuff... but if they are too stupid to participate, we lose and I can't do anything against it. So why should I rage?

If I played good and learned something new, the better for me. I would love to hit the high gold tier this season... I'll do my best, improve sa much as I can - but I'm not going to lose my sanity and nerves over noobs, trolls and feeders.
I thank myself for this awesome sig!!!

Of course you're above them in attitude, but still not try to be condescending as it could affect your play. If you truly didn't give anything about what was happening, you would farm up as a carry then wreck their lane opponents with ease. Sometimes I agree it could be too much on how fed they are, but WHAT A GLORIOUS HUNT.

Basically how I play LoL

I then proceeded to kick him from the ranked team, he was a **** top laner anyway.
Some mechanics, but no awareness of anything. Lose, and troll. Muted his mic cus he is 2 puss to actually rage at us.

Problem is, I'm a support. I can't carry the game in low elo :( That is why I started to jungle. To escape to some higher elo, where team paly happens.

It's really frustrating, if your ADC engages teamfight in lane, while I am under tower, coming back from base, and they had no mana. And when they die, ofc I am "low support" and I should be reported for no help. Or in late game, we are all in one group, I iniciate, and only one person goes for a fight... (then 2 of us die and team mates start raging that we are feeders) :D

That is why I started to learn jungling. Liek that, you can feed your team mates, you can save weak players from feeding and you can split push or secure objectives, as you can deal dmg.

Numerous time, we ACE the enemy and everybody recalls. As a support, I don't deal any real dmg, so by the time enemy is back, I just scratched their tower. As a jungler, if they all recall, I don't mind, cause most of the time I can take the turret down myself (even though it would be great if they helped).
I thank myself for this awesome sig!!!

If you can't carry the game as a support then you're doing it wrong or you're just simply not good enough at support. It's not that hard to carry, even at lower elos, especially considering you have more access to gold and fewer wards to buy.

I could never carry as support... Then Again i'm notorious as a bad support : /. Give me anything but that and I can do really well... Give me support... and well i suck. expand your roles and see what fits with u. I found it easier to carry in low elo's as a mid laner. used lux and ahri alot in season 2 and 3. Good champions to try and pick up if you wanna see how it goes. Ahri has a high skill cap cause of how she works, lux not so much. E Q R and you can burst an entire team... Try out something that can deal massive amounts of damage in a retaliative short amount of time. Hyper carries for example are good for this.
Thanks to everyone that has made me a sig!
