Hello fellow summoners & friends :)

I am AntiH3r0 and I play support. I only play soloQ because all my friends stop playing LoL but, I can't :P Love the game too much. My problem is I never get out of bronze, im currently at bronze 2. I feel im doing my job as a support quite good and I allways encourage my team to work together and stay positive. I never rage on my teammates, if my adc is being to aggressive or picking bad fights (like focusing support) I explain that to him, not by writing NOOB,NOOB,NOOB like most do :( not all listen offcourse.. If the top laner and jungler are fighting because top never get any help I try to help them work it out, but no matter what I do or how nice and calm I stay if bot lane get lost or our adc feed to much I am also the most stupid,******ed,useless noob and probably got a report on my for unskilled or who knows what.

My question is does it get better? I've allways been in bronze so I dont know what its like in silver :P

Silver is pretty much bronze. It gets good around high diamond; with exceptions; I hear.

As far as getting out; try to get a duoQ partner, preferably an AD player, if you can't on your own. Play carry supports such Thresh, Leona, ... and keep up your positive attitude; it means more than a lot of people would think. If you're on a loss streak switch to normals or play some other game for a bit. Even if you go even in win loss, or even ish, if you play consistently you'll rise up in ranks eventually so as long as you're half decent. Soon enough you'll be able to get out of bronze.

edit

On a side note focusing the support isn't always wrong in S4; and is actually a good idea in many situations.

^ can't say much more than this. I would say maw is spot on. silver definitely isn't that much better than high bronze...low bronze though...anyways.

yeah support can be kinda funky but you can have dramatic effects on the game even if it might not seem that way. give your team vision and try to make plays when your adc allows it. thresh is great if you can get it.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah Tresh and Leona are pretty much my mains, but they get banned alot. I also use Alistar, Lulu, Taric and Nami. I will allways stay positive and help my team. Dont see the point in yelling noob, you suck, uninstall LoL to players who may not know better.

I have not seen Leona or Thresh banned this whole season other than once when I was first pick and had just been handily raped botlane by a Leona. Other than that, no one's banned Thresh in solo queue since before the new season started and from experience, no one bans Leona other than myself.

And to prove it, my most played champion this season is Leona.

No one has a valid reason for playing solo-solo queue all the time. You have to be a very miserable person personality wise and skill wise if you can't make 1 friend. That's what you have to do to climb in solo queue as a support. But I find that support roles are able to take on the role of play caller moreso than any other role. It's expected by you to command your team. Think of it as sitting in the captain's chair in Natural Selection. You display vision as needed, you direct your team towards objectives via timer tracking ect. I'm going to take on that challenge to climb up to platinum on my alt by playing nothing but support. I just need to drop that elo somehow......

Time to get in contact with WrathOfVulcan. :V

I find playing a support that can roam and create pressure elsewhere has the higher carry potential.
Someone like Thresh/Leona/Alistar can run up to mid and pull off some really strong mid game ganks that can turn into some early objectives.
With the new mobility boots nerf it wont be as good I guess.. But still always something to consider when you are ahead.

As a bot lane, the best way to snowball is off a level 2 rush into an early kill.
If you can get an advantage of that and continue to bully your lane opponents you will be able to make plays elsewhere.
Wards are also crucial. If you get a good lead make sure to try and get some wards around their buffs or other important choke points. It makes for some pretty impressive plays when you catch them out with proper team follow up.

If you 'low elo' team mates see kills, they will follow. Get them ahead and keep them focused on objectives and you can easily carry as support from bronze C:

Mundo goes where he pleases.

And pleases, where he goes.

Actually I main support, and as support can't make an impact on the game, I stoped playing SoloQ. What you described in your first post, is exactly my case as well.

After I lost 7 games in a row recently, I abandoned the idea of SoloQ. People just don't listen, no matter how nice you are. If you try to help them, they call you names and ignore you.

I agree as a support, you need a duo partner, that deals dmg, and can make things happen. Who will help you secure objectives, while the rest of the team recalls, or Rambo engage in 1v4, because they just want kills.

In the end I decided to get few people together so we can start 5v5 games. I don't mind losing to smarter players, as long as I either have fun, or am properly outplayed. But there is nothing more frustrating than to lose, because you are the only one trying to win :(
I thank myself for this awesome sig!!!
