just now, played two awesome lee games and got back to promo. and then first this soraka appears. "i mid" then afks.
ok, two to go.
fizz appears. "mid is called", we told him. no ****s given. picks mid anyway, my duo buddy adapts to it and goes sp. Ok. no problem. does not leash. as minion spawn, recalls and says "bye imma shower". comes back 5 mins later, sees me at 0/1 (jg lee holding mid against ahri) goes like "noob plz" and literally TAILS ME and sticks to my side, spamming laugh, recalling when i do, while actively trying to get the farm. Right. I ****ing raged, and I mean exploded, like when you have constipation for a week and you finally let it out, like a volcano eruption, i typed profanities and all at him. lol. lost promo, reported him, but i wonder if the chat log is reviewed maybe i'll get banned instead.
Better just play ARAM.

Trust me, it gets better once you get out of silver.
There's less of that kind of toxicity. People usually receive bad plays a heck of a lot worse though.
The way my friends and i have gotten out of silver is by way of a demotion, followed by a massive win streak. My experience was like, i got demoted to silver 2, and then won 4 games in a row to get to silver 1, lost 2 games, and then won 7 games in a row. I literally felt like i had cheated the gold 5 promos.
Trust me - keep on doing ranked, and you'll not only see yourself improve, but also the attitudes of the players around you

Ok I do not solo queue, I usually duo with a friend from gold II. Usually gets matched up with gold people, nonetheless everything is the same.
