In the last two games I always had 1-2 people that avoid them (i.e. they ran ahead and excactly where the shroom was they evaded), seems like they could see them, but they haven't any items..

It's possible that they have wards to see you placing the shrooms. The positioning of the shrooms is very important. I always shroom where I would go. If I see someone dodging a shroom, I will place the next shroom there and always remember the spot to always shroom it next time.

Renekton was lost hope ever since he took Ignite and started Doran's Blade and I destroyed him. I did die twice to Lee Sin gank where I should have easily gotten away but I got greedy for double kill.
