Tried dawngate a few weeks back, its decent with decent graphics. What was most weird to me though was only having 2 lanes:) i have also tried smite and strife, both are really good as well but in my eyes so far nothing beats league:D

Dawngate seemed better than the rest for me. I am trying it today and will see.
It is still in open beta but the new champion design and her skills are freaking awesome.

And I alos played strife... not quite convincing..

Heroes are considerably more expensive than in LoL. Basically every "shaper" costs roughly equal to 6300IP.
**** no. None of that, thank you.

The game does look interesting, but those shaper prices are a problem for me..

Right but there are considerably less of them then league, also at the end of a game there is a forced honor/karma system and it you reach the highest amount of honor/karma given and played the round well, and a few other factors you can gain a Shaper, or even a skin for free.

also word on the Dawngate forum is they are getting ready to make certain Shapers cheaper.

it's possible to just flat out unlock skins and shapers after each game depending on how well you did/how much karma you received

with just destiny, it should take about 15-20 games to get enough to unlock a shaper (games, not wins) depending on how lucky you are with your rolls on blessings.

they're also planning to implement loot drops in game, which might include shapers/skins, not sure.

Oooh, sounds great. This is easily the biggest problem I've noticed so far.

The fact that there are less of them in the game than in LoL is not an excuse. LoL had 30champions back in beta too, now it's above 100.

Lol no, I've been consistently getting 50 per game, which equals 36 games when they cost 1800.
If each game lasts an average of 30min then that means you have to play 18hours to buy a single shaper. Kind of ridiculous..

i havnt checked out dawngate but besides league considering how big it is and how each champion fits into cookiecutter roles, i don't really know why people will play these types of games where they have to grind to get new heroes when there are several other games that give you all of them.

the lowest i've gotten is 50, the highest i've gotten is 110

i usually get around 50-70, for games that last 30 or 40 minutes i've pretty much always gotten 70

maybe i'm just lucky/my rolls have been really good thanks to karma, but with 3 more potential modifiers it should be easy to get divine, and from there 70-100+ destiny for you

it's only the beta anyways, nothing is set in stone and not a lot has been released.

What the actual ****. I've gotten 50 twice, 45, 55 and 30. Played 5 games total. Won 4 of them.

Am I just insanely unlucky?

like the founder pack for Smite, 29.99 gets you all current and future gods. So yeah it's way worth it, I bought it for myself and for a friend.

And the Dawngate forums do suggest that they will be lowing the destiny points required for the the older Shaper so that's a start, but you can tell they are really trying to force players into buying Shapers with money over destiny points with the long grind it takes to earn a Shaper. I'm still not sure how likely it is to get one with the Karma system but there is a chance every game to earn one for free by just being a good sport.
