The reason why I want to focus primarily on presentation, grammar, etc. is because I am not a high ranking player (Bronze 1 to be honest, but SO close to Silver 5), thus, I feel that any advice I give on builds right now may actually affect the guide negatively. This isn't to say though that I have a good understanding of how champs should be built.

Say if I come across a guide where someone is building AP on Riven. Hopefully, I never come across this guide, but I do understand that AP on Riven is utterly useless, and I would point this out and deduct points in one area or another (possibly somewhere under organization). However, if someone builds a controversial item on a champ, like Nashor's Tooth on Diana, I will not go into it, because I know that someone much higher ranked then me will have a much better reason as to why it is good or not.

Consider my avoidance of build advice more like a form of respect than a form of ignorance.

Koksei, you may think that looks come second, but, even though there is that age old saying, its unfortunately almost impossible to avoid. Everyone, no matter who are, has and will judge a book by its cover. Before you went into the actual guide, which would capture your attention first? A guide made by a high ranking player, but the guide comes out to be just a wall of text? Or the guide made a brand new level 30 player, but the guide itself has beautiful coding and art scattered all over the place? Yes, MOBAfire tells you if the player who made the guide is a high ranking player, but once you look at the guide, if its just a wall of text, you're going to skim over it. There is nothing in the guide that captures your attention and keeps it long enough for you to read the guide.

Now, if you say this isn't you, then I can understand that, some people are like that. However, most people are not. No matter who the guide is made by, if it doesn't look visually appealing, it will not get alot of feedback.

As for Vynertje, I will gladly do a Harvard for you. Just give me a few days, and you will not be disappointed.

Not going to keep on circlejerking for long but don't forget that about 90% of the people only read the cheat sheet. Cheat sheet content and structuring are probably two of the most important things in a guide and should definitely not be underestimated.

So, I did realize something. I actually can have an area specifically made for build advice. When I was making the thread, I will admit, I was having trouble thinking of things to look for in a guide, while I was wanting to stay away from actual build advice. Thus, I put in personal presentation. Unfortunately, there isnt much an author can do about his own image on a guide. People are there to learn about the champ, not read the author's life story.

So, because of that, I will be replacing Personal Presentation with Champion Presentation. This section will focus on how well the author presents the champ, and if the reader can actually learn something about the champ when reading the guide. In Vynertje's Elise guide, I haven't gone through it all yet, but I'm sure there is alot to learn about Elise because she is such a complex champ.

So yeah, there is my "build advice" section on my guide.
Thank you to Emikadon for this sig!

^I'd rather put the guide link or link to your comment (http://www.mobafire.com/comment-link?comment_id=960156) :p

And Vynnie knows nothing about coding. Man, he can't even make the right apostrophe.

Would you be so kind to review my new guide? =)

Order Type: The Harvard
Guide URL: Malcolm Graves - Settling the Score
Description: A pretty in-depth guide about how you should play Graves.

I'd appreciate it a lot as I can't think of any improvements right now (apart from adding a matchup section tomorrow, too tired atm :/)

Thanks in advance!

Foxy
