Yeah, it seems quite unfair to compare anime that have had 4-5 years to obtain a following and a wider audience vs anime that have been out for a year or so with half (or less than half) of the audience...

I just found out that the main writer of Psycho Pass 2 is going to be Tow Ubukata and not Gen Urubuchi.
I hope this doesn't turn out like one of those sequels/prequels you just pretend don't exist for the sake of the original show... ugh

I don't specifically hate shoujo romance but I don't like it either. It's usually girlish and always tries to be cute, and I really don't like that kind of romance anime. This is the main reason I'm putting Mikakunin on hold.
It doesn't change, so if it isn't your thing you should just put it down and watch something else.

At this rate, seems like Monogatari Series is gonna face off Code Ge***. As much as I love Shinobu, I feel like Lelouch is gonna win this one.
The winner of the above will face the winner between Stein's Gate and FMA: Brotherhood. So it's safe to say whoever wins between SG and FMA will win the tourney.
I also thought I'd point out a few surprises that happened earlier in the tournament:
No Game No Life somehow managed to beat Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica by 17 votes only. I'm surprised that a newcomer like NGNL was able to build a fanbase that can stand against Madoka in such a short amount of time.
Shingeki no Kyojin actually lost to Psycho Pass! I'm not taking anything away from PP, it's a definitely good world class anime, but damn we're talking about SnK here! And SnK's fanbase is quite big, so that was really a surprise.
Other than that, there were some funny matchups too:
K-On! obliterated Fairy Tail! I found this quite funny to be honest, because in my head I see a bunch of cute girls single-handedly beat the **** out of the whole FT cast.
Meh FMA: Brotherhood is gonna take this, but I won't deny that there is room for doubt.

I absolutely love how she speaks! This is the definition of "cute" for me. It doesn't have to be the "Cool guy pats girl on head and then she blushes and makes all sorts of funny sounds". It's the little things that matter for me. Chaika or Hakase from Nichijou are perfect examples of what I find cute.

Psycho pass isn't exactly a show you can easily beat :P
Personally, psycho pass was better.
You do have a point on the fanbase... first ranked anime on MAL and all (not like MAL has much merit *cough* fairy tail ranked in the top 40 or something *cough*)
Indeed.
But the biggest problem I see here is the release date of the animes that fight vs each other.
Most of them are like oldschool vs new releases and that makes it kinda hard. The old one have the cult-factor and are nostalgic, the new one might offer something that anime fans have been waiting for ect.
