Lux carries so damn hard against stupid teams. Stack Mejia and watch the magic happen.

Thanks for all the tips guys, I'm glad I posted here rather than the official forums. It sucks that supports aren't very good unless you have a competent team to support since Karma is my favorite champion right now. I had to stop playing her in normal games since I could play a perfect 40 minutes and still get stomped because the guy that insta-locked Cho-gath "is playing on a friends account for the first time" or the carries can't grasp the idea of focusing the other teams squishies "because Rammus was closer". I'm quickly learning to forget the last game I played to save myself the nerd-rage (a skill that I'm assuming will be very useful in low elo).
I don't suck with Karma

I know how you feel, my favorite role to play is support. If you can at least queue with one other person I feel like it could be worth it though. I queue with a guy that plays tanks and I run around as Sona, and they just can't kill us ^.^

Don't give up on support, if it's what you like. It can do well in ranked games too, but it will save you some headaches if you duo queue at least. :)

A question for you guys. When you duo queue with someone, and you know they'll play the DPS carry, do you tend to go tank or support to back them up?

I go whatever the team needs more, which most times, tends to be tanks. :P I feel like both roles are equally valuable. However, you NEED a tank so if other people won't... you just have to suck it up and tank. :)

I like Shen best personally, especially if you're aiming to support your friend.

I usually get forced into tank when playing premade :). The main way I combat it is always trying new ones and I actually find it fun now - especially the moments when you see such an AD heavy opposition and its so satisfying to buy things like Randuins and especially thornmail and then kick back and soak up damage :).

However, in a duo queue I tend to pick someone with a stun or snare, especially those like Sion and Lux that often carry themselves but still support.
