Oh no! A wild guessing game appeared!

Oh, that's easy. It's from a mediocre manga called Mirai Nikki.

Nisio Isin, the author of Medaka Box and Arakawa under the Bridge (and Monogatari Series? idk anymore) is trying himself at the full fledged 100% romance genre.

2 oneshots:
Henshin Ganbo
Aru Asa Okitara

obviously, oneshots don't drag **** out, so you actually get to see something lel.

And here I thought it looked like SAO. Oh well, hypothesis busted. Congratulations! In the honor of your victory I entertained a ~12 weeks old kitten.

I enjoyed reading it so far, though I see why you call it mediocre. The theory behind those diaries and the way they can change the future doesn't completely make sense to me. I find the name "deus ex machina" the most annoying though. "Oh hey, this is Latin so it must be cool, let's use it somewhere and act like it's very interesting and stuff."

But it's still fun, I think the characters can be very funny sometimes.

I'll check it out, thanks for sharing. I can't imagine romance stories actually getting somewhere in one issue xD

Yeah well, the ending is complete and utter ****, and the rest of it is decent most of the time. The only thing it did relatively well was the demented character(s), but that only carried it so far, especially when the ending just went bat**** idiotic.

Yeah.. both of the above series aren't anything special, so forgive me for not feeling a need to read the oneshots.
I might give them a shot if Legend likes them tho.

They are indeed nothing special,
never said that.

Just mentioned that Nisio Isin is trying himself at said genre :p
My point was that he did not try himself at that, yet. As you can see from his previous work.
Bakemonogatari was the only one with some romance/developement.

Huh? Then why did you comment about it like that?
One usually makes such comments when one wants to spread the word about something, which often means that that something is good, in that person's opinion.

I mentioned those 2 works as reference, since those barely have anything to do with a real romance story.

First of all, I hardly read romance manga, so I hardly have any comparison material or objective view(who am I kidding I never have xD).

Henshin Ganbo is short. Yeah. It's bloody predictable and kind of a cliché. I laughed though and, to be fair, there could've been a lot more clichés in there. And because it's only ~20 pages long it's not a bad thing. It feels pretty finished which I think is a good thing. There obviously isn't much plot development because it's so short, but I think it's enough. I enjoyed reading it, it's quite a lot in but a few pages.

Aru Asa Okitara is a genderbender so it's terrible. THE END. It's a bit longer and it's literally about a hospitalized guy who has taken over the body of "a childhood friend" for a day. So, yeah. After the basic awkward "who the hell are this people?" and the "who am I?" moments, the basic sports class change-room(is that how it's called) cliché and some other stuff he remembers who he is and then the author remembered there had to be some romance in it too. All's well, ends well. That's the suggestion at least. It might be hilarious for some people though.

I'd say Henshin Ganbo is worth the try because it's really short and kind of funny. Aru Asa Okitara is in my humble opinion definitely not worth the read because it's a terrible genderbender magical body-exchange worst ecchi cliché manga. Unless you're in the cliché mood I guess. It's not my kind of terrible.

EDIT: I also finished Onani Master Kurosawa. Wow.
