Back from vacation again. I finished watching Mawaru Penguindrum.
Fairly solid watch. I was kinda thrown off by the ending for a moment because I expected the anime to prioritize mystery over the feels, but it turned out alright.
MP can be a tearjerker for the ones who easily sympathize with the characters. The feels were there for me but the fact that I didn't like both the male protagonists made me somewhat indifferent. The female protagonist on the other hand, Himari, was an eye candy 24 episodes straight. Her screen times were a pleasure.
Another great thing about MP was the penguin crew. They were actually genuinely funny and the artist was very innovative while making the penguin scenes.
The mystery aspect was kinda lackluster but enough to get the plot going. But I'm starting to think it's not much of a problem once you realize MP is about the feels.
The romance was a mess as far as I'm concerned. It starts with a mixture of incest and stalking romance only to find its way to regular romance towards the end of the anime, which just felt wrong to me.
I found the art to be pretty casual despite what people have been saying. Soundtrack was good in my opinion.
Overall it was a fairly decent watch. Would not recommend to people who watch an anime for the action or the romance. But it won't hurt if you watch it when you have nothing else to watch.
Next, I'm gonna be watching the long awaited Hanamonogatari. I simply love the monogatari series so I have a feeling I'm gonna love it.

The story revolves around Suruga and takes place after Araragi and Senjougahara graduated. But you probably knew that already since that's all what mal gives you. Not trying to spoil much, it has to do with her arm and her mother, Tooe Gaen(!). Not included: everything that still bugs you from Monogatari Series: Second Season. It's pretty much a standalone.
I did not like it as much as I usually do, probably because Suruga just doesn't interest me as much as other characters. Still, Hanamonogatari is a solid addition to the Monogatari series and I would say it's worth your time if you watched the other parts.

Oh no! A wild guessing game appeared!
I just felt these shoonen people all look alike. So, to test this: from what series do you think this footage was taken? Free internet points and ever-lasting fame for the winner.
EDIT: Don't use an image search pls. This is very legit and helps me for my study and will save helpless kittens living on the streets.
Also Aldnoah.Zero is pretty awesome, I forgot who predicted it but (s)he was right!

Basically it's about an ex-war-photographer discovering a huge organization(cult might be a better word) binding all of the economical and political vips. When he secretly gets inside and witnesses some sort of ceremony he gains supernatural powers: everything he takes a picture of explodes. You follow both the struggles of the photographer fleeing from the organization and the internal struggles of the organization. Also included: fantasy, somewhat mature content and gore.
Has anyone else watched it?
