Are you serious?
That kind of goes to show the effects of marketing to the ignorant.
Surround sound is pretty much useless in a headset. It probably has more disadvantages than advantages. Why do you think all ACTUAL premium headsets only use two speakers?
There's also a reason why there are 5-7 different speakers in a surround sound setup, it'd be kind of pointless if you had them all standing together on each side.
Besides, stereo works with directional audio to some extent too. Just pick up any good stereo headset and listen to something like this for an example:

Many games support a headset mode for audio. I know all Valve games do. I recommend using that if you want directional audio.
"Blizzard spoke thus; Thou shalt not BM. And the players replied Nay, I shall Play my hand with Lethal already on the board. And so Blizzard sent unto them this Brawl of Yogg, As a lesson for their sins of Pride and Greed, for he is the Prophet of Madness and RNG. On that day, the tavern descended into an era of chaos and darkness, until the weekend passed and everyone forgot all about it. Amen. Book of SMOrc, Verse 20, Chapter 4." - Feam T
I only got that one because I needed a USB headset for my old laptop (broken microphone/headphone jacks) and it was a relatively inexpensive option .-.

Hold up, I get that sometimes you can be a jerk and all for speaking your mind but when the hell do I become "ignorant" by talking about 1 thing I like about the Logitech G430? One hell of a way to jump to a conclusion based on a simple and extremely vague opinion.
The thing that pisses me off is that you assume that I fell to Logitech's marketing scheme by some sort of effect they did, which is false because i'm 100% sure you were not there when I went to purchase the gaming headset and you did not know my motive for buying said headset. You want to know my motive? My old headset broke and I had some spare cash on me, so I went to the closest electronics store which was future shop and purchased a reasonably priced headset. Now I should also mention that I needed a USB to audio adapter as my current laptop only has an audio slot and not both an audio and microphone slot, I apologize if "slot" is not the correct term but wording is not my current focus. Anyway the only headset that included said adapter at the time was the Logitech G430. I hope I do not need to remind you I had spare cash so I was technically on a budget at that time so top quality headsets were not my greatest concern, and hey $80 is a pretty good price for a headset. I would also like to mention that I didn't even notice the Dolby Surround Sound feature until I got home and installed the Logitech gaming software, I wouldn't have even cared if it didn't include Dolby Surround Sound because I wasn't looking for it specifically. Also if you think I am an idiot for not looking for better headphones well then I apologize for apparently not being fully educated in audio specifications like supposedly everyone else in the world.
I would also like to mention that I once again don't really care if surround sound is bad on headphones because as I said earlier, it wasn't what I was looking for. Also thank you for the tip for steam, I will check it out.
One last thing, you mention that surround sound would be stupid if the speakers would be right beside each other, I agree with you there as that would be incredibly stupid and correct me if I am wrong here but doesn't each surround sound speaker emit a specific noise accustomed to the current audio playing? If I am correct each speaker is assigned a channel and whatever audio is allowed through said channel the audio is then emitted through the speaker. I expect this is how companies achieve the idea of surround sound as it makes it seem that specific areas of the room are emitting such sound, otherwise if all speakers would be emitting the same sound it would practically be a stereo system but spread out. Who is to say that a company like Logitech cannot cooperate with Dolby and create headsets that have specific areas in the headsets that essentially respond to a channel and emit audio the same way a surround sound system in a living room would work? They are practically creating surround sound headphones, sure it may not be equivalent to legitimate surround sound systems that cost hundreds of dollars but there is only so much you can do with an audio device such as a headset

Drink 4 liters of water each day. It seriously helps. Also but some thin lotion on your skin in the morning.
Thanks for your beauty tips.
