With the lowered jungle presence, [[veigar]] might have gotten a chance to be slightly better. He isn't THAT bad as a laner without jungle interference as long as your play style isn't "I'll take it up the arse and farm coz I'm [[nasus]]", his Q damage for trades is pretty ok and [[event horizon]] is a threat that can be used more aggressively (whereas before he'd need it mostly to save his own ass since he has no mobility). His issues remain though: albeit strong midgame, his lack of mobility make him a very hard mage to play lategame; his playstyle is mostly assassin-focused but he lacks some of the tools. However, a half-decent Veigar can wreck through solo queue way up to high gold. However, [[syndra]] is pretty much what Veigar desires to be, and more.[/quote]
