The thing with K-Pop is that the songs generally aren't that amazing to listen to, but it's primarily the easily identifiable dance moves that are also somewhat easy to replicate if you put enough practice into it that really creates a lot of culture with it. The songs themselves aren't really that great, albeit it somewhat catchy at times.

The only criteria for me is that the music sounds good. I listen to anything, really.

Thank you to MissMaw for the signatures!

I'd suggest you check out Paramore (that got me into some other female vocalists) if you haven't yet.

I know them, don't like it all .. or I just don't want to listen to it because it never really caught me.

About the link you've put in your comment ... gosh, I'm sorry but I cannot handle it so I will just leave it as it is. It just sounds to "standard" for me, Pop in a Korean version but I don't want to say this in a way that it sounds like trashtalk, just my personal impression.

I listen to literally everything but counrty for the most part, I like older country but have yet to get around to exploring the genre so there's not much I can say I like that is country. I traded my Iphone 4 for a 3rd gen ipod touch because my iphone was 8gb and the itouch is 32gb and all i used my phone for was music anyhow, so now i'm a happy camper with 3246 songs any and everywhere! I listen to music almost constantly, I actually get withdrawals if I don't have music for a long enough time. Music is more than just noises to me, it is art in the form of noises aka vibrations, it is literally art you can feel and I don't think many people see it that way. I'd like to change that :). I make music, I love doing it, it is my favorite form of self-expression and as a person I feel that the only way to connect with others is to express what you believe so that goes hand in hand. It's proven that musicians and those with music knowledge use more of their brain capacity than non-musicians, so that's cool too. Listening to music is an experience, you are listening to someone else's story and this is what I think gives music the ability to incite emotional responses in so many people, even if it isn't a song that you grew up with or was a former partner and your's song. Also it's things like that that make music so special to me, it's that I remember the times I was going through when I first listened to a certain song or maybe the day/week that it was the only song that I listened to (It happens a lot XD). I create memories with music, I feel for music, and I cannot be myself without music.

Rant over.
Tl;dr I like a bunch of music and i'm a musician and i got into some philosophical/sciency stuff about it
Aka music is love, music is life
Thanks to The_Nameless_Bard for the epic sigpic

Also, check out my Soundcloud, I make music..kinda

I used to be a big Paramore fan, but then they went more in the pop direction and I lost interest. I moved on to some other rock bands with female lead singers:

Amaranthe - Hunger and Amaranthe - The Nexus (fitting for League, hahaha)

Delain - Sleepwalker's Dream and Delain - Control the Storm and Delain - The Gathering

Halestorm - Out Ta Get Me and Halestorm - Dirty Work

So as you've noticed by now, I prefer songs that give me energy.
Sometimes, when I feel sad and/or insecure, I prefer to listen to ballads from above bands:

Halestorm - Private Parts and Halestorm - Hate It When You See Me Cry and Delain - See Me In Shadow

Surprisingly I also enjoy house, techno, dubstep, trance, hardstyle and more genres like that. As long as it gives me some energy! :D Can't really give examples, I usually go to youtube and listen whatever comes up.

I'm gonna throw off your thing by picking nearly half the genres listed, sorry.

I'm a bit disappointed about what's missing though. Unless you just lumped a bunch of things that are different genres together because they're sorta similar? In that case, why not generalize all of them instead of only generalizing some of them?

I cycle between genres/artists constantly because I like many many different kinds of music:
The Glitch Mob
Blackmill
2ne1
Rampant
Dazzle Vision
TES3 Morrowind Soundtrack
Josh Groban
Armin Van Buuren
Celtic Woman
DCFC
Pretty Lights
Kate Rusby

This list will get longer. I listen to a massive amount of music and genres
