It wasn't good but it was watchable. Now it's just garbage.

I meant the manga. That actually has some redeeming qualities(and even then they are pretty few and diminish in value as it progresses). I'm pretty sure the anime is complete and utter garbage.

Wasn't Fairy Tail already garbage before 2014?
I dropped it somewhere as it just got too annoying to stand all those characters.
Honestly, they pissed me so much. I don't mind those shounen generics as I do enjoy 7 deadldy sins and other shounens.
But Fairy Tail was literally:
Bad guy appears, OH NO SUFFERING AND FLASHBACK OF SOME SAD SAD PAST,
MC gets beaten...
Comic relief,
FLASHBACK OF FRIENDS HANGING OUT TOGETHER-> I have to protect my friends!!!
-> TAKE DIS MY HATSU DATSU S*****EN TECHNIQUE!! (That I just learned cus of the powa of luv and friendship!)

bam.

Yeah, pretty much. Dumb shounen is fine, but Fairy Tail is just ridiculously dumb, and while it can sometimes be fun, it just takes itself too seriously for me to want to get back to reading. I mean the characters all have personalities about as thin as a piece of paper with a weird quirk taped to it (seriously, think about it). So how the **** am I supposed to care when people are in danger or die. That is only compounded by the fact that people never actually ****ing die, nor suffer permanent injuries.

Nanatsu no Taizai (7 Deadly Sins) is very similar in many ways, but in my opinion just flat out better. It just does everything better. I'm not sure I'd call it good, but I'd at least call it competent/decent at what it does.

tbh about 10% of fairy tail episodes were pretty good and actually fun to watch and I especially liked wendy as a character but everything else was literally the most stereotypical **** ever and it got boring fast which is why I didn't continue watching 2014 :>

Idk why I watched it tho, it did keep me coming back... I feel as if it started out decently so I always had a glimmer of hope that it would redeem itself.. meh

I used to watch Fairy Tail like you, but then I took a magic games to the knee.

Seriously tho, that arc was like:
Episode 342342352: Here we tell there is a secret behind the eclipse door, but dont tell u what
Episode 342342353: Here we tell there is a secret behind the eclipse door (AND SHOW THE EXACT SAME SCENES >:O), but dont tell u what
Episode 342342354: Repeat process x5
Episode 342342359: The door starts to open
Episode 342342360: The door is now open

It was like so ****ing slow. I lost my ****. EVERY EPISODE 20 MINUTES AND THERE WAS NO PROGRESS AT ALL >:O. Anything that would come after that wouldn't interest me at all anymore unless it was some godly new arc. But no, it was just celestial ****. Meh.

After watching Fairy Tail and being absolutely done with it, I started watching Magi. Now that was a LOT better. Season 1 was freaking amazing, showed a lot of interesting topics, cool shounen material, awesome characters etc. etc. Season 2 went less well, in the end it was pretty much only fighting and bored me a bit. However, season 2 also created a lot of potential for a good season 3. Whatever the case may be, its 489573589734% better than Fairy Tail :3

Finished Naruto last week. I know I'm late to the party, whatever.

The final-final arc was actually pretty good. It went back to a lot of what made Naruto good in the first place.
That saved the ending entirely in my opinion, because several of the arcs that came before that were a ****ing mess.
Overall I think my opinion on it is that it's decent, above average. Not a bad read at all, but I wouldn't recommend reading it as there are far better series to read.

Back in August I didn't have League in my grasps, and figured to give anime a shot, after previously never watching any. I immediately was hooked on just about anything. This probably future addiction started off The Idolm@ster one of the only animes that nearly got a tear or two out of me(very close, actually it probably did...), followed by Durarara!!!(Holy hell that was confusing at first on connections, but the amount of sense made later on), No Game No Life(So much silliness, absolutely loved it), Soul Eater(Ridiculous, kinda like NGNL, but slightly less almost NSFW humor, and much more action) and I just wrapped up Gurrenn Lagann about a week ago(Pretty cool show overall, mechs are always awesome). I took a break because I was so out of the loop when it came to other mainstream /formerly mainstream shows. I intend to start either Kill La Kill, or Hyouka soon.

I've only seen NGNL and some of GL so take this with a grain of salt.

Hyouka is a bit more romcommish than what you've seen so far, so maybe not right up your alley, but a good series nevertheless in my opinion.

Kill la Kill is a bit more like Gurrenn Lagann and No Game No Life, but it goes a bit further with ecchi and silliness. Never finished it but I enjoyed what I've seen.

You may also like the Monogatari series (starting with Bakemonogatari).

Kill la Kill was made by the same studio as TTGL. Obviously, they were aiming for kinda the same outcome.
A comedy with ecchi and suddenly super epic big ending - kinda thing.

Hyouka was so boring, allthough good, but boring for me as I watched it at night and just fell asleep... Tho, it was still enjoyable... I guess xD.

Since the Monogatari Series are my personal favirote, I will just go ahead and join Lates Legend on that one. Let that stuff sink in and enjoy it - even if you need some concentration to keep up with the text and scenes.

Apparently the four episodes of Tsukimonogatari are going to air on New Year's Eve. Jump aboard, full steam ahead I'm going to watch it for sure.

EDIT: Dontenni Warau is getting better and better. Way better. Like, it's actually pretty good now. Plot twists everywhere. It may look really simple for the first 7-8 episodes but it definitely isn't.

Hyouka is not a romcom at all. There is no romance at all in it, only small hints of liking which are not developed at all.

It's a slice of life and mystery.
