Hi! Firstly i would want to thank you for the awesome work. But i'd like to discuss about ruunan here. As you can see, it's a must build in pro play (LCS NA). It isn't mentionned enough in your guide. I agree, in terms of 1v1 DPS, it doesn't seem so strong at first. But you have to consider the DPS in teamfights (ruunan's stacks spears on 3 enemies at the same time), and that, even in 1v1, stacking spears on nearby minions even when focusing the enemy carry permit you to reset your Rend multiple times, thus greatly increasing your DPS. I think it synergises greatly with trinity as well. On a strategic viewpoint, it allows you to push with great efficiency. I don't play Kalista that good, so I'd like to know your opinion on this item. Thanks :D

I just started kalista and im really liking the hurricane, bork, blood thirster, berserker greaves, last whisper and zephyr build for hard cc teams or lack of peel. what do you think of this build? the only thing its lacking is crit chance in which you can swap that out for zephyr but i personally like the tenacity. mind you im a bronze scrub so what do i know?

Sorry, my mistake. Let's just consider any of the minions in this case. Land 4, for instance. If you landed 4 in a minion and used Pierce, it really doesn't matter, hit that ADC and harass, you're going to win that trade hella hard. Believe me, Pierce at level 1, Rend at level 2, win early trade, lane dominance is yours. Sentinel at level 3.

EDIT: I know that it won't stack until you get a point in your Rend, I am talking about that instance, hit 2, stack on a minion, Pierce. The thing is, you can't do that level 2 strat if you start with Sentinel. You will do better that way.

Although it's passive is good, it's not going to help as much as Pierce will. Consider this..

You stack 6 spears on a siege minion, then all of a sudden you Pierce it and you gain level 2, what if per chance the 6 stacks of spears then goes on to the AD Carry and you engage upon him, taking a point in Rend ? You've instantly just got 6 spears on the ADC ready to burst him down with even more as you continue to Martial Poise towards the ADC while s/he runs away, just when out of range, pop E and watch the health drop. It's more suitable to have Pierce at level 1, Rend at level 2 and then Sentinel at level 3.

You lost the level 2 battle pretty hard if you see a cannon minion while you're still at level 1. Stacking spears in a cannon minion and then piercing it is a really neat trick that you should try to pull off, but you should try to get to level 3 by that time. Also, spears don't stack until you put a point in E. I'd be more than happy to play as your support if you want to try my skill order. Let me show you the power of a W start!

This is an excellent guide, and I think it's spot on for the mid to late game. However, I believe that you should take a point in W at level 1. Its passive gives you and your support a strong level 1, and it allows you to set up vision before you head to lane. I made my own Kalista guide where I more fully explain my reasoning: DuoQ Kalista

I haven't seen this mentioned in the comments or in the guide, but in the lane phase you can stack rend onto a cannon minion with your low base attack and get 4-5 stacks on it then last hit it with pierce. if it kills the cannon it will send the 5 stacks of rend to whatever the next thing the spear hits. For example, stack rend on cannon minion, then use pierce to last hit and hit the enemy champ hop forward auto attack and use rend to consume 6 stacks at once. this is a great way to surprise the enemy with huge burst damage early game.

You are correct. I did mention it however. If not I will throw that in, I'm pretty sure it's there in this guide. Well, tomorrow I'm doing the next update for this guide, so I'll see if I did or not.

Thank you for the comment.

I suppose I could do that. I'll add a section for item build order. I'll be done in about a half hour.

EDIT: Done. Have fun!

Thank you very much! I will go test right away :D

I have feeling you didn't update the item build order with your overhaul. Could you be so kind as to do it? I have yet to try your build, since I'm confused as what to build and when to build it.

Kind regards
